Those of us who have been digital for years certainly don't need or want a disc drive and we shouldn't have to pay to have one in the price. Both my current PS5's are also in the horizontal position, so I also don't want to pay for an included stand which would end up in the bin in my case.
Its quite correct to release a machine without including elements many of the purchasers will not require - you have it all backwards.
Releasing an item that includes stuf...
Exactly. I have a 4K PC rig and though I thought I might play games on it, I never have. On PC you are always fiddling and spend far less of your free time actually playing games. Switch on and play within a minute is the only way for me. Maybe the tech fiddling and looking up best settings is something younger people like to do - I got bored of it and stopped gaming on PC around 20 years ago. No desire to go back despite having the rig to do so.
Choices are good though and someone ...
Lol, communities are so toxic. Its quite clear, especially given the price, that the majority of people will buy the current hardware offerings.
This thing is for enthusiasts with deep pockets. Thats me then :)
Without exception, console prices in various territories do not translate with currennt exchange rates.
The USA for instance will often offer a product thats on sale at £499 in the UK for $499 in the states. We will know soon of course, but in the meantime guessing the us price based on a uk price and exchange rate is likely to be alarmist.
Ps5 has been absolutely stellar. Just like all the gens before, many of the best titles are 3rd party and I dgaf whos logo appears at the start as long as im playing great games. Kotaku barely qualify as news these days, I simply wont ever go there.
This source is never worth reading. Their take is always stupid, illogical and plain wrong.
"Non physical game doesnt chart in physical game chart shocker"
Are there any real journalists left?
We are all entitled to our views and I disagree with yours based on first hand experience.
If it drops frames I don't notice, probably as I'm using VRR, and I have motion blur on the minimum setting. The two friends I know with PS5's both remarked how excellent it looks while they were visiting, and both have bought it since on PS5.
I willing to bet you are simply stating what you have heard and have no first hand experience of this at all, simply parro...
Pretty sure this is ar*e covering, but 25 fps was going to be hitting over 30 fps by release, so I hope series S users have a good game.
Shame its 1080p to hit 60 fps on Series X, but modern upscaling techniques leave a lot of 1080p images looking pretty fine to me - I think wukong on ps5 at 1080p looks good.
I'm hoping this game lands well for the Devs, and indeed for Xbox who could use a decent exclusive thats worth playing.
I bet the people who made the decisions 'up high' are not affected by lay offs at all.
Shame to see.
These guys are sounding less and less like they know what they are doing. Which is a shame as avowed was my one hope for an Xbox exclusive I couldn't ignore. I've been keeping a dusty Series X just so I can try it, but I'm getting less certain I'm not wasting my time.
Unfortunately its the haters who will always set the agenda on any such discussion. Peter is a visionary who delivered some exceptional games and invented genres. I consider myself blessed to have worked at Bullfrog and seen such creativity up close. The fact he over promissed on several projects later in his career is hardly an issue limited to just him, and certainly does not undo the huge legacy he has.
I was impressed by the showing at the event, and Im pleased to see he's le...
Each to their own. I got hooked on games since pong and space invaders came out when I was 15ish. Ive owned just about every machine you can play a game on since and spent over 2 decades as a AAA dev myself. Its my 60th birthday next week, but I play as much today as I ever have and still find gaming enourmously fun.
We are all different of course, but Id suggest those that no longer have the joy they used to are more likely to find the change is with them, not games.
The jo...
Only stupid console warriors want to see sad faces? What possible good does that do for anyone?
Real gamers are happy to see as many as possible get the chance to play good games.
The major reason SE hasn't served the Xbox crowd much is because so few have bought these games in the past. If you want more, buy titles and SE wont bypass the platform, simple really..
The next gen for them will be some kind of bespoke PC with a heavily modified OS. Seems pretty clear from everything they have implied and the job adverts they have within the direct X team.
Might be a good path for them and their rumored handheld PC. Entering the handheld market just as the switch 2 is due seems ridiculous, but their execs know they have lost the traditional console space and they see steam deak and ROG doing good with handhelds, so it looks like they are going to d...
Its a handheld. The equation is different as its a different market sector..
Vgchartz are always wrong. Even when real figures are published, like the 61.5 million sales, they still insist on quoting their own guestimates....
Thanks for the recommendation - I'll make sure to give it a try! Be rude not too :)
This is not PS extra as you have stated, where I'd agree there are lots of lego games, this is plus, where people get to keep the game if they remain subscribed. If you are going to criticise, at least know what you are talking about.
The skywalker saga is actually a bit different from other lego titles and with a metacritic rating in the 80's its clearly a game many will enjoy. If that's not you then take it like a man and move on, linking that with prophecies ...
