The pro sold out in the uk by 12.30, having started selling at 10am. There were more added by 16.00, but they sold quickly and its remained sold out overnight. They will no doubt release more stock soon, but its clear initial sales in the UK are good.
I have a £4k pc rig with a 3090 ftw3 ultra with its own lg c1 oled 48 inch. But I dont enjoy pc gaming. Id much rather game on consoles and find the ps5 to be competitive and a much nicer way to play games. Ive just bought a pro, and compared with pc its chump change.

Internal rendering resolution is starting to be a poor metric to anticipate the quality of the picture output.
AI upscaling means things rendered in lesser resolutions are often producing far better image quality than those rendered at a native 4K.
As per usual, there's a whole bunch of people who fail to appreciate, or simply don't want to appreciate, that the rendered resolution metric is no longer the most relevant one.

Mid gen consoles are not sold at cost/ under price. When you establish a format, you are prepared to take a hit in order to get a user base and build brand loyalty. When you are already outselling the competition and introducing a luxury version of the platform, there is no point in taking a loss per unit.

Thats irrelevant. They wont sell, Horizon will and it was clearly developed to coincide with the tv series, which has since been dropped. Just like tlou which was pilloried for having a remaster but went on to sell 18 million units.
