I really liked it. Going in with low expectations, I was surprised to find a game I enjoyed. Traversal is a blast and I thought the combat was fun. The writing was a bit cringe in places, but I play games, it's a rare thing to get great writing and it didn't spoil it for me. I think plenty people will have more fun than they expect once they can try for free...but you need to get a couple of hours into it. If you can make it through that fud, your good!

I agree, I'm playing and enjoying that game now, put in 106 hours already and had maybe 20 minutes of cringe dialogue. Like too many games these days, there was a narrative spread by many long before they had played it, and it had an old series to be compared to which it had moved on from. Taken in isolation and without those burdens, its a good 8/10 game and good fun.
Negative stalker reviews are because the game is full of bugs and unfinished poorly conceived game systems. Great games get great scores. Make a great game, not one that might be great in a years time..

Dlss regularly constructs a better 4k image from a 1440 or 1080p render than a native render, that's just a simple fact. The days of native render being a relevant metric have disappeared.
Why? No one's forcing you to get one and all the games will run great on standard PS5.

I couldnt agree more. If romancing characters is your thing, you are served by many other titles. I find it all fluffy cringe and not what Im looking for,. Considering the legnths Baldurs Gate 3 went to properly reflect D&D rules and sentiments, it had no place being in that title either - its not part of the D&D world.
Fun game. Writing is a little clunky here and there, but decently acted. Its likely to be a 7/10 by the time I'm finished unless there are major curveballs. I'm glad I bought and played it. Totally agree with this article. I've played games since space invaders hit the arcades when I was in my late teens. Always been mad for it and I worked two decades as a AAA dev. I've never had a bigger backlog and have played many games I consider to be exceptional this year.
If you are not finding great games you enjoy then you've fallen out of love with gaming...
