Watch Dogs was hilarious, a day one mod that put the game back to pre-downgrade. The textures were much better, way more effects and the frame rate shot up... Stop gimping games so lame ass consoles can look relatively close.

I want my games to look and play the best, and you wont find that on PS4 or X1. They are fine for exclusives, and they are good values for the money but with 5400rpm hard drives, laptop CPU's and previous generation GPGPU's they are hardly for someone who calls himself a real or hardcore gamer.
Its all they have to hype at the moment... so yeah. Its pretty sad Sony has to hype KZ DLC and Infamous DLC and a remake as their big things. I'm glad I got rid of my PS4 and Vita this weekend, Sony is a no class organization and my PC made my PS4 look like a toy anyway.

And I respect yours. Its true that PS+ and Gold have added value, those services make the $50-$60 a year worth it. Also PS+ is clearly the better value so I don't mind paying for it. I do maintain that the online gaming side should be free, its part of the game you purchased for $60 and one shouldn't have to pay to use it. Granted server farms ect. are expensive, but PC and Nintendo and even Sony PS3 managed to keep it free. Someone in this thread mentioned apps behind the paywall... ...

I can promise you Phil, and everyone else at MS, Sony and Nintendo are businesspeople first. I ought to know, my wife works at Nintendo (Redmond campus in a management position) and the company I own does a lot of business with MS. They aren't gamers first, I can promise you that. Don't confuse understanding the market (or not, in some cases) with being a gamer first.
I will take Nintendo's free online service which includes every major media app over MSFT's and Sony's any day. If it weren't for the "rented" games part of it, it would be a $50 yearly rip off comparatively.

I'm proud to be a PC Elitist snob. But I also own a PS4, Vita, PSP, XOne, 360, WiiU and 3DS. If I want the best version of a game, its PC all the way. No console can touch a decent PC rig. Mine is an I7, 16gb DDr3-2100, GTX780Ti and 2-2tb drives. Sorry, but a console cant touch it. No you're not, I don't buy a console to play indie games I could have played a year ago on my phone or PC. Thats why my PS4 sits there collecting dust. I multiplat on PC, Sony has a sorry excuse for AAA's on the PS4 right now and I don't consider Drive Club or The Order the savior for the year. It will be the end of 2015 before PS4 has a decent library of exclusives, and that's just sad.
