id throw in dreamcast also. it could emulate ps1 with bleemcast, snes, nes, genesis, gameboy emulators were also made for it, no hacking required. plus it was the first online console, it had powerstone (still one of the best fighters to date) also had shenmue, jet grind radio, star ocean and introduced 2k sports into gaming. etc. it was such a good console. one of the reasons why i bought a 360 lol. they just looked so similar in design, controller and what not. my nostalgia couldnt help it....

ive played both. they perform on par with each other for the most part maybe 360 is a bit better with screen tearing and fps idk? i prefer the ps3 version though, it has better color tones, more of a natural look..softer on the eyes too due to the blurring or whatever technique they used...plus psn is free. i mainly use my xbox for some of the exclusives and single player games that are better on it thats have no multi player, such as some bethesda games. fallout elder scrolls etc.
turn off all auto saving and only keep one save file. problem solved
the ps3 only players do get the crap side of certain games. its not bethesdas fault though, the ps3's ram is a challenge to work with in terms of games like these..it happened with red dead redemption also, rockstar had to dumb down the graphics slightly compared to the 360 version. either way, stop bitching, get another platform or dont buy them (ps3 only players), bethesda makes some of the most immersive content packed games. your missing out as a gamer if you dont play their games. iv...
nfl 2k5 is still king...people still play it to this day with 2012 rosters. it has SPORTS CENTER weekly...half time shows, and wrap up shows with chris berman SON! After playing 2k for so long youll still hear the announcers say things you havnt heard yet, theyre more exciting/funny. First person football mode and the crib kick ass too. madden NEEDS all of this.
honestly if you pick up a ps2 controller, it does feel slightly different.. more comfortable than the DS3 in my opinion, it weighs more and the sticks are tighter...feels like its built of better quality materials and feels bigger for some reason also.
this franchise should be a cell phone exclusive game or something...feels like im playing one of those mini games on a loading screen everytime i play cod.

@Septic I never said they weren't quality games. I said sony has quality & QUANTITY. microsoft doesnt have the quantity, thats fact. They only have 3 exclusive retail franchises at the moment.
as for halo and forza being the best of their genre, thats your opinion. i dont have a gaming pc i have a 360...i do like halo, fable, alan wake, and the witcher but best in their genres? thats debatable.

theyre not exclusives though. all those games are on pc also...if you look at the games that are only available on the 360 meaning EXCLUSIVES..then there is only gears, halo and forza. ps3 outdoes that number times 10 or more. sony has quality and quantity.

@Incipio your right, but the crysis games looked great to me on the current consoles. i like nice graphics and all but by no means am i a graphics whore. i started out on the nes/snes and had a blast as a kid, so for me to say oh i cant play this game because its not pretty enough would make me some type of spoiled, hypocritical gamer. which ill never be, ultimately its gameplay > graphics. if the graphics are twice as good as the current consoles on the wii u, i wont have a problem playin...

didnt crytek say the wii u is good enough for them to work with? thats a team that focuses on graphical power houses. their word counts more than a lot of other devs.
either way, what i think is... 3rd party support will be good for the wii u in the beginning, but once ps4 and 720 get rolling, that support will slowly trickle off.
and not a damn will be given...just sayin, most smart phones can run a ps1 emulator.

stop playin shit 2d fighter games then, those are the only games that apply, back in the ps2 days when you beat levels you unlocked new characters...thats not how it is now. dont go and say that about the other games, dlc is a way to expand a game.
