Nostalgia is overrated unless it's from the 90s.
How do you guys not realize what they show you in the trailers is usually the pc version? The ps3 version didn't get no downgrade, it was always going to look like that.

I agree, I mean there are small things that are missing...but the big things, they nailed it, especially the ui, the install times, and the new controller design. The only big thing they need really is backwards compatability with ps1-ps3 which is coming. I guess I don't really put much emphasis on the media side because I have a pc hooked to my tv and a smartphone I use for that.
Xbox has never had a 1st party AAA game I was interested in since it's inception, but maybe that's because there's only really been 1 exclusive franchise to choose from which is forza. The rest of their "exclusive" aaa franchises have come out on pc in some form or have been timed release for other platforms. God the xbox brand is a leach.
Design errors in the ps4? Lol...they couldn't have done any better than what they did at a 400$ price point.

Yeah man. That's my build, minus the gtx 760 for a 770. Spent about a solid 1000$ for a pc that's going to outperform these next gen consoles consistently, and even though I'm not totally sure it's worth it. It's still nice to have all your games running 1080 60fps with mods and free online play and the huge discounts you get on games, and xbmc which can replace netflix and cable for free and being able to do work on it, there's a lot of things a pc is good for. Gtx 760 250$, i5 4570 200$, 8gb ram 80$, motherboard with wifi 140$, psu 60$, small console like case 50$, windows 80$, xbox 360 controller 50$, keyboard + mouse 25$. Around 930$. For a pc that can handle 1080p 60fps at high settings while looking like a console.

The gampad is a bulky cumbersome distraction with its best use being for playing games on the toilet if you have severe diarrhea.
The pc version will. The ps4 version will just have lesser defined textures and less fluid gameplay/movement with its 30fps.
Should have known better than to pick up a Microsoft console at launch...history repeats people.

Needs some new ips. When is captain falcon going to get his own open world adventure...racing to fund your missions around the universe, customizable vehicles, falcon punching through hordes of aliens. I mean they're wasting a lot of games in their back log or not innovating enough with their current ones and they're certainly not trying to create new ips. What's up with them?

There is no downgrade....what do you guys not get. What they showcase gameplay with is a high end pc, you can't expect the consoles to be on par, that's just common sense.
