But there's so many games for the Wii that if somebody was walking into the electronics store and looked at everything without knowing everything already, my guess is they go with the Wii still because there's a ton of games. Some of those games are under 10 bucks even. And if you only have "X" ammount of money (which is a major factor in this now since the real game heads already have systems) that you want to spend on something you're not that into I just don't see the mass mark...
They forgot to make it simple how to play the games. For example, having the Intellivision overlay on the virtual pad is cool, but when you can't figure out how to get the game going things are bad news.
Shovelware. Nintendo gets a ton of it and to the non-hardcore gamer some of those games are appealing on the game's idea alone. It still costs too much to develop games on PS3 so even though the motion based PS3 games might become the best next thing, if it doesn't have a game selection of 1000's of games I don't think Nintendo has much to worry about.
Everybody here has bought a total dud game just because they thought the game's concept or something sounded cool. And for...
Not having 3D DOT GAME HEROES in the list was stupid and at that point you shouldn't trust the fool.
I'm actually going to go along with this one. Thanks to Uncharted 2's quality increase from the first game, I expect Killzone 3 to be much better than 2 and that's saying a lot since Killzone 2 is already technically the best FPS on consoles still.
My guess is it's due to Gamespot links being available directly from Bestbuy.com's video game section, as well as IGN's choice of primary, and at times only, game coverage being that of the XBOX360...like doesn't IGN know there are other systems out there to cover for the people that own those systems.
Although Microsoft does run IGN so don't expect much to change any time soon.
On a side note, it is sort of cool to have IGN on the XBOX everyday either on the &...
I was looking forward to the chance to try the game because it had been getting all the right things said about it. But I thought I heard Ubisoft had a new engine for the game when it turns out to be just another Unreal game. It had screentearing which annoys me and since it's a Ubisoft game I seriously doubt they fix that because even the Ubisoft logo up until recently had screen tearing. The gameplay was lifeless and too easy as if they hold you by the hand and expect you to just fall in...
as in latancy.
I've read and heard plenty of comments similar to this, but I have to wonder if there is really a difference between Natal and Sony's camera, or is the only real difference going to be software and effort from companies to try to make games for a camera. Because once the 3rd parties have tools to make "camera only" games I don't see why Natal games wouldn't also be on PS3 with the camera.
149 will be a big difference in everything. Where Sony is at selling for 299 will stop completely because regardless of bias for more reliable harware, you just cannot beat the price when it's less than half.
If for some unseen reason it doesn't clean house, then Microsoft will pack it in next gen without a console and just release software.
Sometimes I might look to see what is required to get something and then set out to try it, but I really don't like how on 360 the scores are measured by the overall total available.
Why does everybody need to see how low my overall achievement score is on the game? On PS3 it doesn't list all points available for each game so my total number for all games is more impressive.
But I don't really care either way.
Yes. We are now in the age where a "Playboy: The Game" on this generation of consoles in 3D/HD would be awesome.
And it can use motion controls =)
but the game is so impressive I'm still shi++ing bricks today from the little I got a chance to play yesterday.
It's overkill. Every game I play now a days has him as the voice and it's become generic. I'd like some variety. Same goes for Luke Skywalker too. If every crazy sounding bad guy has to be him then they are all clones.
There hasn't been enough beach surf games, which are always good with tasty buds and cool waves.
Looking at the screens I have to say the Killzone shots are better looking to me. I assume those Crysis shots are from a console version also, but either way the Killzone 2 shots are more fun to look at.
Sounds great.
...and judging from Amazon's best seller list plenty of other people have too, since it's been in or around in the top 25 on 360 games sales for weeks now.
Forget the bad reviews. 19.99 is practically an arcade game purchase and if you like retro games this is a pretty good one...it just so happens to be a recent release and the old school design flaws need to be addressed for the sake of reviewing unless you want the industry to take 2 steps back.
I'm really tired of hearing dude in every game now.
=)
