because I've played all the other games too and now I'm left with this. But I'm really excited with these new games because I "need" to play new games or else I get on here and post comments =)
Like he even knows what hardcore is. And NO...the DS is not hardcore. Sure Kinect might sell, but to us on this site and the real hardcore population it's just another fad. Hardcore games are memorable classics. Nobody is going to say they had ultimate Wii Sports matches until 3 in the morning 10 years from now because you play those games for an hour tops if you have enough drinks and people.
I bet 20 years from now there are entire room projectors that use holographs to display the content and at that point you actually are "in" the movie/game/TV show whatever.
Since there are some great games coming to the PSN in the future, I will admit the idea of getting a discount on purchases is nice.
But needs more meat to get me to bite.
They are actually talking about the hardcore 360 owner who buys everything 360 related. If you bought a pair of 360 boxer shorts you are one step closer to being that "hardcore" customer they are aiming this statement at.
I'm not Scott Rohde, but I've been saying the same thing he says. All the talk about how 3D isn't needed or how it will fail is foolish and will not stop it from becoming the standard. Everybody said HD wasn't needed and it isn't...look at the Wii for example. Or how everybody said Blu-ray isn't needed and it isn't...look at your 3 disc Xbox version of FFXIII. But 3D is going to come down in price eventually and everybody will buy one. And sooner or later that...
True. And how powerful and dramatic it is as those 2 fighters swing those lightsabers with all the rage and fury they can muster for that one moment when the sabers clash...and there's absolutely no rumble. There's no whooshing rumble as you swing. There's no rumble when your hit and lose your hand. Because there's no rumble.
I agree with your point. Obviously somebody has no brain and thinks otherwise, or maybe that person has no hands or fingers. Playing air guitar is not as fun as playing Guitar Hero with the guitar controller. And swinging a sword without a handle is just as lifeless.
For the people bashing it - dude, why do you care?
No need to go on some hate crusade because you'll still be able to do your jumping jacks at home without one.
For the people defending it - again...dude, why do you care?
If any other company made it you wouldn't give 2 shi+s because I know you never wanted to play Pong with a big red ball because we've come a long way in games to go back now regardless of the input.
...so exsisting 360 owners will have to buy an add-on that downsizes/bridges the connection to fit on older models.
Wanna bet.
It will be the same price as the Playstation Eye or maybe an extra 5 bucks since it has a 2nd camera lens, but not much more.
Also Kinect games are 60 bucks
Move games are going to be sold for 40
These new 360's only come with 1 year warranty. The old models get 3 years. Even if you already have a 360 and are thinking of buying the new model - you should stick with what you have or buy/trade for a new old model version with the price drop
Kinect isn't a let down unless you actually thought it would be good in the first place. Now if you were thinking that controller free gaming was going to be cool you must love playing paper, rock, scissors for hours.
Neato for them, but what about the millions of people who weren't there. Giving away free stuff to the media is nothing new either. Honestly the new XBOX is sort of pointless. Sure it includes wi-fi but it's no cheaper than the current model and bragging that it's quiet is interesting when you can already install games on the HDD so the older models are quiet as well. I'm honestly disappionted in Microsoft this year. Getting Call of Duty DLC before PS3 didn't win E3 b...
I sort of figured that the Move would allow for faster and better aiming similar to the mouse and keyboard set-up. Now basically reading that they have come to that conclusion means everybody is going to need the Move or they will lose that competitive advantage. Including it in SOCOM is a wise move because SOCOM gamers are probably the most hardcore bunch on Playstation and if they go all in for the Move because of it's benefits that's an impressive first step.
First Top Gun...now this. Oh well, at least they better have a wheelchair racing mini-game in this one.
if they are to rename it they go with "Mirror"
But I hate screen tearing. I mean I really really really hate screen tearing more than anything in the world of video games. I hate it even more than slowdown. And for this reason I have to say 360 wins. But had there not been practically double the ammount of tear on PS3 I would have said PS3 was the winner hands down
3D on 360 will require the additional purchase of an add-on
I'm not about to go check, but I don't remember Lead and Gold being on 360 yet either, so it might be one of those cases instead of what they say.
