Can't believe they didn't include Demon's Souls in the top 25 list. Their site stinks, never going there anymore.
but Demon's Souls didn't even make it to the top 25 list this year. That was the last year's list. Ya I know its hard to believe. The pussies at IGN need to grow a pair.
Insulting someone you barely know then insulting their parents too. I bet you wouldn't like it if someone did the same to you and for no reason whatsoever.
and a well deserving tribute to a great game
guy conveniently forgot to mention:
* RE5 Gold Edition
* Heavy Rain
* Mag
* Killzone 3
And well Sony are including Move support in as many 1st party games they can, if 3rd party devs decide not to support then they can't do pretty much anything.
"If there is one concern I have, it's with how devs are using Move for FPS games. K3, Socom 4, and MAG (I think) have shown Move gameplay where the crosshairs move all around the screen and I hate that so much. I want it to stay centered in the middle. That K3 SP Move demo was terrible, and there is an uproar by the K3 community to fix that. I really don't want FPS games doing that, and maybe it's just me but it's annoying to have the crosshairs move everywhere when the g...
It was Gamespot's overall game of the year and GOY for RPG in IGN's list. I would be surprised if it didn't appear high on the list.
Dissapointed that it only appeared #22 in last year's list, its easily in top 5. #1 for me personally.
This generation. Nuff said.
I stopped paying 2 years ago coz I realized I been giving free money away. To the morons who bring up that example of 'Its only the price of a beer or a morning coffee' Well I have no intention of giving up on a beer or a morning coffee to donate money to billion $$ MS. If I give something up I'd rather donate $5 to a charity.
P.S. Recently heard some M$ fanboys give a new priceless explanation of the price hike "Its only to cover the rise in inflation"...

truly mandatory? What I mean is that whats to stop them from implementing a control scheme without dead zones so that the camera moves wherever the Move pointer is pointed to. Its exactly the same control that the current right analog stick is using. If they do implement a control scheme with dead zone then, to not give the ability to customize would be brain-dead. Every console shooter has the ability to customize controller button layout. I would be very surprised if this wasn't there. ...
Lets face it, as the article correctly mentioned. This is not using IR, the Move uses an actual camera that tracks the glowing ball in 3d space. Additionally it uses gyroscopes and magnetometers to track orientation of the controller. The move actually uses almost double or triple data feed then the Wiimote does. I am pretty sure the tracking is 1:1 like a PC mouse.
IMO the move will give close to mouse like controls on a console FPS. Seriously Sony has a huge chance to revolutionize ...
Correct me if I am wrong but is it not possible to attach the camera orientation with the move pointer? What I mean is that keep the controls identical to the DS3 just use the move as the input device instead of the right analog stick to control orientation. I agree with you that independent pointer movement inside a screen can be very good for shooting inside your viewport but once you have to turn around a little, it can get cumbersome.
Your logic fails. Xbl users don't really have a choice. Here's why:
If an XBL user buys a game with multi-player content. E.g. Halo:Reach
That user pays $60 which already includes the price for the multi-player component. If the game was single player only then it could have been cheaper.
However the user has no choice but to pay M$ for realizing the value of the game.
When you think about online only games like L4D/L4D2 (M$ exclusives) you realize how ...
Basically you are saying that you actually quite like to bend over and take it.
I was expecting it to be some Kinect demo.
No one is expecting Kinect to not have sales. Most users criticizing Kinect in the N4G forums actually expect Kinect to sell very well precisely because of the sort of people you described. However when it comes to Kinect being an effective gaming peripheral/controller mechanism for hard core AAA titles, then it FAILS miserably. Its just that the conscious and knowledgeable gaming community can see through big money M$ and their media accomplice's bag of tricks.
Its not controller lag. Its just a tiny bit of floating motion that effects your gun hand. It is to mirror the real world where you never hold something dead still. It does not effect target resolution or controller movement at all.
I would strongly advise you to use the Move controller if you plan on playing this game online. The precision of mouse pointer like move controls is going to kick your ass otherwise.
And because no reviewer used the PS3 version of the game (IGN, Eurogamer, Joystiq) we will never know how good or bad this game could have been used with a move controller.
