Ya I agree with you.
The weakest selling games this gen are actually among it's bet.
E.g. Demon's Souls, Valkyira Chronicles
EDIT: actually DS and VC both have sold almost close to 1 mln.
I guess this is all subjective but I found the combat to be lacking in challenge. However my main gripe with the game was the removal of RPG elements. I felt that they did this because they wanted to sell armor customizations to us (DLC, collector's edition bonus etc) instead of it being loot in the game which you could collect just by playing (a basic for any RPG) ME2 was a good game but IMO it is hardly one of the best of all time as it is being touted in the corporate gaming sites.
I actually hated ME2 and mainly because they removed all sorts of armor customization and other RPG elements from the game. Also the combat felt boring. It was pretty disappointing for me especially coz ME is my favorite game on Xbox. Surprised not to see Halo:Reach out there especially this being IGN. Never expecting GT5, these guys didn't even review the game.
Works for me like a charm
As a PS3 fan I am very happy to see Kinect become a huge hit with its dance/fitness titles. I wish it well for next year and hope the millions of casual fans continue to buy it. This will mean M$ will focus more of its energy(money) on the casuals and maybe the hard core genre will be free from the clutches of the green monster. Life will be so good without the annoyance of timed exclusives and paid online.
BTW: for all those horror Kinect titles, do u get to scream and wave ...
I always keep getting amazed as how GT5 graphics are so close to photo realism. I mean last night I joined a room in the online lobby and simply watched the online race and it was amazing, I genuinely felt like I was watching a real life race.
It isn't perfect. But guess what no game is. Perfection is hard to achieve my friend.
So you expected it to be perfect and it wasn't, how does that go from there to 'monumental fail'?
The only fail is your argument.
Damn if these idiots have their way then the next GT will have a fantastic UI with gimped gameplay.
LoL so this idiot (Giant Bomb) wanted a rewind and an auto-tune function? And can anyone of the retards complaining about the cluttered user interface explain to me how you can design a simplistic ui when you are packing so much content like Gran Turismo is doing?
GT5 is an amazing game and its unfair scoring by the corporate review sites are only making this one even more legendary. I can vouch for the fact that GT5 will have a dedicated online and active community like no other.
So now the A.I. is bad because it is closer to a real human being? So he actually criticizes the offline play for the A.I to be just as aggressive and unfair as racing online, amazing.
And with the graphics, he actually freezes screens to point out jaggy trees and shrubs in an effort to prove how the graphics are not good enough my god.
Fully expecting Edge to give GT5 a low score and do their job. Thats what these guys are paid for.
So it got docked a point for the presentation. It seems the in-game menus became a major factor.
Well said. You just put everything into perspective about why a growing number of hardcore gamers are moving away from M$
Ya and to add to that: Tumble, Echochrome II, Planet minigolf, MAG and plenty of others.
LoL. Well said bro
US collectors edition contain the wallet? I don't think so.
Maybe you should get your head out of M$'s a-hole and call out this article for what it is: a stinking piece of fanboy trash.
Ya you asked for it lolz
VC were the good guys.
I don't agree. I think GT5 sales are fantastic. Just take a look at websites that sell gaming wheels (Logitech, Fanatec etc) Almost ALL of the wheels are SOLD OUT. Some of the websites even have an update that they are running low on stock coz GT5 just came out :P lol. In this scenario I find it laughable how the M$ paid corporate websites (IGN, Edge etc) keep on downplaying this great game.
