This is the first thing i thought of after reading about the Max Payne delay. I was sure, and delighted, that GTAV was coming this summer as usual, until i read about the Max Payne delay.
I don't think it will be next year, i reckon maybe August. Disappointed but then again i guess its more time to work on the game. Cant wait, for me GTA is the pinnacle of gaming.
Very excited about this game.
Single-played games with a strong focus on story and character are definitely my favorite. Half-Life, Kingdom Hearts, MGS, Heavy Rain, Uncharted, Deus Ex, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Red Dead Redemption, GTAIV, InFamous, Resistance 3 and a few more.
These are the games that i'll always remember for their great single-player experience and i really hope that "The Last Of Us" will be the same.
What do you want me to do, cry?
Mental!!
You gotta love this game for its outrageous moments, it makes every game a new experience.
Yeah, a Top 10 or even 20 would be enough, but 50 games! That's nearly the amount of noticeable games released in one year anyway.
The jet hitting the heli @2min was brilliant, the rest.... was ok.
But still, this game is full of amazing moments that just make you stare at the screen in awe for a few seconds.
Same, i guess it is slow and has low range, but man its like having a little shotgun in your hand, i love it. Wont say no to this buff though.
Yeah, just focus on the hack and not the all the great games it released. Hell don't even mention them, just make a big post about the hack and how it "Defined" the PS3s year.
Oh and Vita.
I see his point and can understand it, having an arrow bringing you straight to your goal instead of finding it yourself by exploring and interacting with people, is a bit simplistic. It would be nice if you could switch off the compass altogether, which i think you can on the PC.
But then again, couldn't you solve this by just not activating any quest?
Something like this wouldn't stop me from enjoying such a great game like Skyrim.
I have noticed going back to a game and my latest saves being missing and having to do certain things all over again, very annoying.
Another problem being that my arrows don't hit the guys i'm shooting at, like i aim right at them and it goes thru them and does no damage. This is especially noticeable at long distances.
Such a pity and nuisance as i'm loving this game.
InFamous 2, one of the best games this generation. Pure unadulterated fun. People always forget about InFamous.
Resistance 3. Dont understand why critics gave it such average scores. We need more games like this, with such a great story, characters and atmosphere (kinda like the great Half-Life series), not to mention probably the most creative variety of weapons ever in a game.
Thats exactly the kinda stuff i want. I'm more of a Big Boss fan and would love anything with him in it. Likewise with Ocelot, one of my favorite characters, would love to learn more about him.
What Kojima was saying about the Cobra unit also sounds very interesting, the Cobra unit was probably the most interesting group of "villains" ever in a game.
God, all this talk about MGS is getting me excited like when i was waiting for MGS4.
Let...
I guess you're right.
At the end of the day a game is a product and when you buy a product it should reach a certain standard, so considering the problems a lot people are having with Skyrim, it falls below that standard and these things have to be taking into consideration when deciding these awards.
Its a shame when you have one of the best games in the years and cant play it properly.
I can understand where you're coming from, but personally i haven't had the problems that most guys are complaining about, i'm level 39 with a save file of around 8000/9000kb and the only problems i have are the slowdown when its auto-saving or the odd enemy disappearing after i kill them (rare).
It hasn't affected what i would consider one of the best gaming experiences ive had in years.
So therefore, for me, with bugs and all, Skyrim would definite...
Loved the 1st one and this is great news to me, thought they were gonna say next spring.
This proves nothing, but still, im glad to see something, anything, regarding Half-Life at this stage. Its been waaay too long.
Why?
Although the Episodes are great, would you not prefer a full blown game, its basically an Episode but more.
Im guilty of all of these, yes even the nude one.
So so true, its nice when you see that other gamers have those little in-game habits that you thought you only had. Like, i sneak ALL the time.
I would add the saving-the-game before any situation you're not sure of i.e. when you approach a camp and you're not sure weather that guy walking around is a good guy or bad, so before you see how he reacts to an arrow to the face, save the game. I do this way...
Theres one thing this guy said that really sums up Skyrim for me:
"...it’s a Grand Master when it comes to distracting you and does everything in its power to keep you from getting to your objective. Walk outside any city for 20 minutes and you’ll encounter caves, bandits, wolves, a dragon, a word of power, and 15 side quests that take an Excel document and a calendar to keep track of."
Thats why i love this game. One of very few games thats well wo...
So true...
