Yeah I can't understand why people would disagree with what you want to buy and what you want to rent. I own both consoles, already day one bought Gears 3, will day one buy Forza 4 and Skyrim, will rent BF3 and Dark Souls and if they are good will buy them, and probably rent Uncharted 3 for the campaign playthrough.
No I meant downcast as in low spirits, as opposed to the usual overcast weather report. I dunno since when did weather effects become essential in a driving game...? Finding new ways to put down a superior product, sounds like...
And the weatherman reports that it will be downcast with lots of tears over at the GT camp!

You are allowed to come to your conclusions, we just disagree with good reasons. And I didn't call you names, a strong choice of words perhaps, but I can't otherwise aptly describe the mindset behind a lot of diehard GT/ Sony fans. No offense meant.
Almost every reviewer has considered the simulation aspect of the game and has praised F4 for it, saying it is near, equal or better than GT, so you are really finding a reason to hold on to your stubborn loyalty to a brand name that has by all counts dropped the ball this gen.

I'm pleased to see that into the 2nd comments page there are still no childish comments from fanboys here trying to put down what will no doubt be a graphically capable game! The proof is in the pudding that people who don't own or favor a PS3 can still respect PS3 exclusive games, or maybe they just don't care about them.
There's nothing of substance for them to refute the fact that Forza 4 has taken the crown from Forza 3.

Those features are not essential for the perfect driving experience. If I wanted rally racing I'd get Dirt btw. And GT5 does not simulate weather conditions, they are mostly cosmetic. Does GT allow customization of cars? Does GT simulate damage? Why are you grasping at straws?
@ chase - No it doesn't have weather conditions. For good reason too. No game has been able to simulate weather conditions on driving physics satisfactorily, and Turn 10 isn't about to include half baked features into it's game. All cars are premium in Forza for example.

I am absolutely loving Gears 3 and it is easily the best multiplayer shooter this gen so far, and it goes without saying that it should be a serious contender for GOTY, but I'm hoping GOTY goes to Forza 4 because it has truly and resoundingly upstaged all competition in it's genre in a manner not seen in other genres, and therefore deserves that little bit more than just the title of best racing sim/ game this gen.

You are wrong, cars and lighting in Forza are much better based on the images. Look at 2nd, 4th and 6th images - obvious Forza is way ahead.
