I suspect it will be a handheld / docked console like the Switch but be powerful enough for 4K visuals on the TV.
So I think we're still a good few years away.
After disappointing sales of the Gamecube, they had to innovate for their next console and they did so with motion controls on the Wii.
The Wii U made the jump to HD but the controller wasn't the innovation they thought it was to sell the console.
So the Switch combines the motion controls ...
lol.
Man up princess.
Why?
It's a one and done game.
The world isn't open and interesting enough to have to slog through it again.
Maybe you were thinking of the Dead Space remake.
A pretty fair review.
I'm almost 25 hours in and probably give it an 8/10 so far.
Way too many puzzles early on. The bit when your with Atreus and Tyr in the Elven realm is god awful, move through a corridor into a room to solve an open the door puzzle, move through a corridor into a room to solve an open the door puzzle, move through a corridor into a room to solve an open the door puzzle, move through a corridor into a room to solve an open the door puzzle, terrible g...
Doesn't sound like such a bad thing.
I don't think people realise just how big Nintendo are, they are swimming in cash.
Unlike Sony and MS, Nintendo make profit on every console sold, they're not sold at a loss like the PS5 and Xboxs.
And their games rarely drop in price, so they make a good mark-up on their games even years later.
And their games sell, boy oh boy do they sell well. In the UK the top 10 charts are dominated by Switch games, not ...
Rollocks.
After finishing Cyberpunk on my Series X a few months back I've been swamped with great PS5 games.
Horizon FW to GT7 to Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart to Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection and now GOW Ragnarok.
Then I've got Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut to start after I've completed Ragnarok.
PS5 is packed with quality exclusive AAA games.
Xbox just can't compete, my Series X probably won't get played on unt...
Why?
Where are the games Phil?
He's been good for hardware (One X, Series X) and services (Gamepass), but on 1st party AAA games to drive gamers to your platform he's been absolutely terrible.
MS have the money in the bank to dominate the console market, if they could be arsed, and under Phil they clearly can't be, because they can't release a quality AAA game outside of the Forza franchise.
The management of MS studios have been laughabl...
Trade it in.
It's a good game, not as good as GOW 2018, and a bit of a slog early on.
Enjoying my time with it but I won't play it again after I've finished it.
God of Worms
The first hour, before you get paid a visit in your house, is fucking awful.
Was genuinely shocked at just how bad that first hour was. Should've been cut to to about 10-20 minutes before that fight with Thor. And that fight with Thor is nowhere near as good as the opening fight with Baldur in the GOW2018.
I'm about 4 hours in and so far it's alright, not as good an opening as GOW2018.
Combat feels a bit repetitive until you can spend xp on new moves....
No.
They're management is bloated and rubbish.
Halo infinite had at least an extra 200 developers from support studios helping 343i.
343i are too slow, much like many of MS's studios.
Matt Booty and Phil Spencer need to shape up their studios as it appears these studios are taking the piss with dragging out development.
It's the MS gravy train, they have such deep pockets that their developers think they can be lazy.
Doesn'...
Most 30fps games look crap on big TVs when panning the camera around or moving quickly in an open world game.
If you have a 49" + size TV, 30fps is just no.
Games like Horizon FW and Yakuza LaD at 30fps are rubbish, terrible, great at 60fps though.
You need 60fps for smoother motion over a larger screen, it's as simple as that.
We should be past 30fps. The GPU in the PS5 and Xbox Series X is about the equivalent to a Geforce RT...
@ Ashunderfire86
This.
Having recently upgraded from a 37" LG TV to a 50" LG TV with VRR, most games at 30fps are awful, almost unplayable.
Horizon FW for example, terrible at 30fps. Yakuza Like a Dragon on Series X, also feels jerky at 30fps.
Zelda BOTW on Swith, RDR2 and Flight Sim on Series X are OK, but everything else just runs like crap.
For big TVs you need 60fps, or 40fps with VRR, otherwise panning the camera around is...
A lot of 30fps games look worse the bigger screen you have though.
Horizon FW for example is awful at 30fps on a 50" TV, yet smooth as butter at 60fps.
All are equally as bad as each other it appears.
The standard of writing in games is still generally atrocious.
Better wait for the reviews first.
Did we learn nothing for the Saints Row previews?
Journos and influencers hype up games before release, that turn out to garbage.
They're paid to give positive opinions, best wait for the reviews from real gamers.
Next year will be great....
For the 3rd time in a row...
Not played ER yet, but I've put over 300 hours in BOTW in 2 playthroughs, 150 hours each.
Recently spent 75 hours in Horizon FW and did pretty much all the side quests and "content". A good game but nowhere near the excellence of BOTW.
Spent twice as much time in an "empty" world compared to one that's filled with map markers.
I think many gamers are missing the point of BOTW's open world, it's all about exploration, discovery...
