Without a side-by-side, I didn't feel like the most recent demo was downgraded except that tall grass didn't have much physical interaction, whereas the first reveal had bushes reacting pretty well. Given, there is a difference between tall grass and bushes, and bushes may still have the same level of interaction. But it just seemed weird that the game is so beautiful, yet the tall grass just passes through her body.
smolinsk is right that there is going to be that major hurdle to overcome on this game, and that is the challenge of breaking up gameplay. Guerrilla hasn't REALLY proved itself on that. The Killzone series gave us good games, but they didn't rewrite the rules or anything. That being said, I felt that FarCry Primal was pretty generic, but it kept my attention for a long time. If they can match that, I think a lot of people will be pleased. And matching that shouldn't be much troubl...
I don't know why "Porn games…" gets disagrees. People need to chill. It's just porn. Enjoy it however you'd like.
Infamous 1 and 2 are still my only Platinumed games. If it wasn't for a change in my lifestyle, I would have done the same with Second Son. I love those games.
If anyone is to blame, it's us. If we didn't have such high demands, games would be cheaper to make, and it would be easier for studios to turn tidy profits.
I'm only being a little sarcastic. I'm sure there's some truth to that.
I brought this up when visiting family recently, and my brother-in-law kept buying all of their movies in digital format. I said, "What are you going to do if Amazon Video disappears?" and he answered, "I guess the same thing I did when VHS disappeared."
I said, "That's actually a good point." See, we still have a ton of VHS tapes, but we haven't had a VHS player in over a decade, and that wasn't even by choice. We'd love to wat...
I'm not disappointed or even surprised. Once they released the first full gameplay demo of this game, I was convinced that it was going to be pretty terrible. More evidence of that was granted by how quickly it was forgotten. There was simply nothing about it that was memorable or standout. Even the main character was obnoxious. I don't envy the creators, though. It's a tough time to be making games. So many different things have been done by now. The only real way to stand out is...
They're changing it so some joker doesn't sue them. Sony seems to have rotten luck with that sort of thing.

There are lots of different kinds of kryptonite. The point would be to focus on humanizing him so that there is an emotional attachment to the story that would ground it and make it depend less upon the balance of power and more on a compelling reason to play.
I think starting a Superman game with Superman being attacked in a way that embedded kryptonite into his body would be a start. As the game progressed, the stuff would work its way out one way or another, or even not. It could be more about what it means to be Superman when the powers fail.
Why would they care? They're basically just a payment processor, swiping cards at a cash register. They get paid. That's all that matters.
Here's the thing. Let's say there are significant downgrades. Let's just say that's true. In fact, let's say the downgrades are twice as bad as people think they are. The reason no one cares is because when you get the game in your hands, it is still the most beautiful and detailed game available. No one cares about downgrades as long as the game is still the best in the end.
Remember how they fudged Kinect?
I think we'll see Days Gone a ways before TLOU2. Which means that Days Gone may benefit from hype TLOU2 generates in the interim.
They didn't make their engine competitive against UDK. The studios that could manage to use CryEngine were often better ahead to just use something like Unity if not build their own.
I'm a PS-only owner, and I have both Alan Wake and American Nightmare and play them just fine. I completely disagree, however, that they're must-play experiences. I thought they were tedious.
Spoiler alert!

I seriously think they never expected people to find each other so quickly and thought they had more time to put player models into the game and sync things up without anyone noticing. I mean, how many meet-ups have been attempted since the patch? How will we ever know if you can see another player unless they come out and tell us?
The biggest problem is that it's a smaller screen than the Kindle Fire. Is it even touch screen? Why is the resolution so low for a $300 "tablet" plus TV output dock? It just seems really, really expensive for something that is completely and totally dated. None of the technology in this thing is less than five years old. It's quite disheartening.
