If it was a story about the Russian inventors of the game, then sure.. I'd love to see that. If it's a movie about talking bricks... hell no.
I really love that you write this from the perspective of an Egyptian Muslim too. It's great to hear voices of the community, actual good hearted individuals, speak out against terrible things like this. Painting the whole Muslim community as killers is just like painting the whole Gaming community as killers. Just dumb.
This was the real reason Sephiroth was so pissed at the world. He kept losing to Cloud at Monopoly.
I'm sure there have been murders that copycatted famous movies too, but that doesn't change the fact that they were deranged in the head first.
No. You have to have a warped ideology to want to kill people in real life. Doesn't matter how similar it is to any game. You have to have a warped ideology first.
Good article.
This wasn't even on my radar, but I can't wait to try it out now that I've seen all the rave reviews it's getting.
Well that's just my opinion. You're not forced to like it. I can like or dislike whatever I want.
See how that works?
Just curious that's all. No bubbles on the line anymore. But since you don't care, I'll start you off with one. Here yo go. You're welcome.
But on topic: that's great that Playdead gets a wider audience. Sometimes these indie releases can mean make or break for them, so it's good that they have a greater chance at success in the long run.
Nah, I really enjoyed Limbo. It nailed the atmosphere and puzzles quite well.
Wow, a 10? I wasn't even aware of a Limbo followup coming so soon. Not on PS4 though. (at least for now) Looks like it's PC for me!
Edit- Lol @ the downvotes. Does it really bother you that I'm going to get it on PC 1 week later? We all get to enjoy this masterpiece. That's what matters.
Prey wasn't bad for 2006. The only thing I disliked was the death mingame. That got old pretty quick. But yea, wall walking/gravity tricks and portals is what I most remember. Also the Native American angle and Spoiler Alert..................... having to kill your wife (or was it girlfriend? I can't remember) after she got merged with an alien.
@Offbeat Sounds even better. :)
Very nice!
Edit- It's now up on the US store as of Wednesday, for $13.99
Yea, I'm sure my nephew will love it. And I'll probably be the one to take him.
Happy birthday to you then! Forget the kids for a day. Let mom or family take care of them. Your planet needs your attention!
I play the occasional Minecraft, but seriously? The Telltale game was going far enough. It doesn't need a theatrical release. But.... money, they say.
Wow, Ford doesn't have the money to hire an artist? As a working freelance artist, I find this hilarious. The Firewatch team should go after them legally bc you know they're capable of a payout. >
Edit- As updated on this site, even though this was caught by a small local town dearlership: "Chris Cannavo, manager at Quirk Ford, contacted Gamasutra again to inform them the promo art came from Ford itself."
Yea, I actually enjoyed Kameo. Would still love to see a sequel.
And to think that Activision has owned the rights to Crash Bandicoot. Oh well, Rare was already becoming a shell of their former self by the time they were sold. Many original developers had already left.
Well written article. Don't get me wrong, I love the classic God of War games, but after 6 titles I do feel this is the right time to reinvent the series. One of my most anticipated upcoming games now.
