More like that alien ship scene in South Park Stick of Truth. Spoilers: We all just need to clench harder.
I was working at a Gamestop when this originally came out. I remember trying it and thinking it was a really cool concept. Lots of people seemed to love it. Cool to see that there's still a passionate fanbase for it out there!
This is one of those games I can forgive for not being "top" graphically. It still looks good, very stylized, but most importantly it just looks FUN. I really craved a multiplayer pirate game after as much fun I had with AC Black Flag.
Can't wait to see what these guys are working on next! I have a friend who moved from WayForward over to working with the Yacht Club team last year. No clue what they're working on though.
That shot of the wingsuits looks sick! I would have loved to have played this. I do enjoy the wingsuit in Just Cause 3, but I really would like to play a more realistic, more focused game of it.
I like how your title sounds sort of like "shat on nostalgia".
Good review. :)
I think all gamers win. For me personally, I'm going to be upgrading my PC by the Fall to go along with my PS4. For those who don't want to mess with PCs, there's the XB1. Microsoft still has some great exclusives to play alongside my PS4. They still get my money.
"Hey, I ordered the filet mignon."
"Shuttup and eat your dollar menu burger," he says.
Not debating that they had a great conference. They did. But you do need to update your article to be more accurate. It has been confirmed that Dead Rising 4 is not strictly exclusive, just Timed Exclusive like Tomb Raider was.

I've seen better character modeling from 1st year art college students. I know graphics aren't everything, but these guys are supposed to be the pros of the industry. Man, that character model is ugly. Totally lost all of its appeal from the awesome original concept sketches. :P
@TwoForce Yea, but they have Armature working alongside them on Recore. I have more faith in them than Comcept. Also, Recore is directed by the director of the Metroid Prime series, Mark Pacini, not Keiji.
They may have put too much focus on Recore and kind of half-assed this one as a result. What they showed of Recore at E3 does look pretty promising. I'm still excited for it. I'm not touching this Mighty No. 2 though.
I legitimately feel sorry for the people who funded this. :\ The original concept art looked great, I can see how people were suckered into it.
It did to some extent. They combined it in spots with the snowboarding. This game Steep though seems to have entire events surrounding it alone. Plus being able to base jump adds to it. Also the paragliding has events of it's own as well.
Finally, a new IP. I love snowboarding games like the SSX games.... but the additions of wingsuits and paragliding... I'm excited for it!
Edit- that's fine. downvote me. You don't have to be into the same sort of things I'm into. I'm just speaking for myself.
I think you nailed it. We need some new reveals.
Is it too much to hope for a Beyond Good and Evil reveal at the end of this Ubisoft conference? Man, that game would feel so fresh among the rest of this lineup. Looved the original. Doubtful it will happen though.
Don't forget the Last Guardian reveal last year. That was right up there.
For Honor looks cool. Combat is slow, but that's to be expected of viking combat. I dig the narration that goes on during play. Feel like I need to crank up some good Viking Metal like Turisas or Ensiferum while I play it!
I love that you included A Link to the Past, although it was the SNES version which encapsulated my childhood. I played through that game so many times, never got tired of it.
