@xReDeMpTiOnx:

It certainly is good, as demand outstrips supply.

That said, it doesn't exactly say how it is doing relative to competitors. We are just in July with virtually no real marketing and it is selling out already, despite the trend of hating on Xbox One.

It seems stupid to you, because you were a legitimate user.

However, these measures are there to prevent hijacking of accounts. Employees generally should NOT be able to do this.

That said, MS can fix it for you, but you have to prove you own the account and the process is lengthy.

Moral of the story, add a secondary security like email or phone number. Also change your email address when you change email accounts!

I'm kind of surprised the gap is so big, but how big is the gap in the instal base?

What surprises me is the software sale between Xbox 360 and PS3. The gap is a million units and around 25% difference.

I love yellow and would buy it in a heartbeat!

Amazing that the PS2 lasted until the start of PS4. Since I don't have a BC PS3, I might buy a PS2 when it eventually clearances out.

I like the fact that this more of discussipn now. :D

I didn't mean to indicate durability as an issue, but rather stability. PC are indeed a multifunctional device, but with it, there is a massive support cost either done by the employee themselves (very small business), a specific support personell or an outside vendor.

There is a huge cost to that, because you have to consider the "total cost of ownership" (TCO) n...

I think he is reffering to the content of South Park and how it makes fun of Canadians.

I didn't know the creators were Canadian. That makes it even more hilarious! :D

The survey also states the majority at 44% would rather have a new car than a promotion at work which is only 3%!

A promotion is a raise, that helps you get that car!

Sheeps!

That's ok, if I work harder, I get more and you less! :D

Great!

So you will get superior graphics with extremely laggy controlls and constant hiccups and encoding artifacts.

I'm confused about your other statements. They make non sense and seems like you are trolling.

Did you not read what I said?

The thing here is that despite PC being available, it isn't plug and play. Skype on my computer occassionally gets hiccups, and I have to go into settings make sure it selected the right microhone or soundcard or whatever. Sometimes I have to re-install drivers, and this is a re-occuring theme on almost any VOIP software.

Tablet, and smartphones have less issues, but the quality isn't good. Be...

"just out of interest if all the rumours are ture about the ps4 having a better gpu and your getting both systems which console will you be getting most of the multi platform games for."

It would depend on the game, what features are with Kinect/SmartGlass/Cloud, any special content or how much better the performance on the PS4 (assuming it would be).

Assuming equal performance, no extra features on either platform then l...

@MWong:

I haven't seen any article, but I think it is stupid to have this conversation in the first place. Of course, there will be hiccups and unfinished software during launch development on all platforms. Why are we judging a platform before it is released and making false assumptions.

There is no reason to discuss this. My point was to point out what *you* and many others (including Enemy) are incorrectly stating that Xbox One games weren't run on...

@Enemy:

You are misinformed:

"When it comes to the state of software development on PS4, the situation as it stands is surprising. On the one hand, freely playable first-party titles such as Knack and DriveClub suffer from noticeable frame-rate stutters down from 30fps, while on the other, "hands off" demos for the new Infamous and Assassin's Creed games appear to run without a perceptible hitch. This is in stark contrast to the playable so...

I pre-ordered both Xbox One and PS4 launch day editions, but also feel the PS4 doesn't offer anything exciting that doesn't already exist on Xbox One.

Unless the PS4 (and likewise Xbox One) gets some amazing games, I feel little interrest, because there isn't a single feature I feel I need on the PS4.

Since there is no game like Last of Us, there isn't much to be hyped about. There are some multiplatform games though, like Destiny, Watch Dogs ...

Developers outlook changes depending on what platform they can make money on first.

DRM thing only had an impact if and only if, it either contributed to abysmal sales of games, or it created huge profits.

Of course, access is another, but that hasn't stopped devs before on working with consoles!

Wow, people are to busy arguing that they missed the elephant in the room.

"In terms of next-gen titles currently in development, 13% of respondents said they were working on PlayStation 4 games, compared with 9% working for Xbox One and 5% for Wii U. This trend was mirrored in future intentions as well; 23% of those asked were planning to create a PS4 title next, while 14% were eyeing up the Xbox One and 7% the Wii U."

Well, let me counter an Sony loyalist rant that says:

"Sorry folks, but PS4 and Xbox One are a new ball game. Past games don't apply."

while in the same blog says:

"will always trump a system [Xbox 360] that can't work without an add-on with a checkered past of questionable quality,"

So it is fine to ignore the past for PS3/PS2 and forgive and forget all the crap (like mismanagement of PSN leading ...

I'm seeing a lot of people that obviously don't run a business, and has employees.

Why would you want this?

* Just about anyone you get in contact with uses Skype. It is probably the largest voip provider used by professionals.

* Employee time is hugely costly. An engineer easily cost your employer $400-500 a day! This means anything that improves productivity will be worth it. Why do you think large companies like MS, Apple, Google a...

All I have to say is Wii, Wii, Wii and WIIII!!!

Point being, the chips didn't win Nintendo last generation and neither did the Cell win for PS3.

It has little to do with the chips and more the overall package, the policies, the system, the featurers and the forward lookingness.

In the end, it is value!

That value can depend on games, features or other things.

The Wii was a great value at it's price po...
