You put the Forza 5 disc in and download the latest free content entirely *free*.
There is no code, just a disc and download.
@mattdillahunty:
60 fps on Forza 5 and it looks way better than DriveClub at 30 fps. Smoother and better graphics and I think there it is clear why DriveClub is given away.
That said, graphics aside, the more important thing is game play and the response hasn't disappointed. Forza 5 looks to be a monster game with advanced cloud support!
That said, I think the fingertip rumbling sounds fantastic. I remember playing NG Sigma on the PS3 wi...
@s8anicslayer:
The feedback has been very positive with regards to Killer Instinct. Why would you judge the developer and not the game?
Keep in mind that good developers make crappy games every now and then too.
It swings both ways. Judge the game, not the developer.
That said, why is Sony showing Knack and Octodad? Knack looks awefully generic, and Octodad, well what can you say.
Sony has better titles like...
@iamnsuperman:
What is there to be confused about? Why would you want Xbox One for TV?
* easier to use interface (and hopefully considerably faster than your crappy cable box)
* interactive TV, with polls and whatever overlayed on. MS demonstrated this a few times on the Xbox 360, but there is a lot more they can do it with that
* multi-tasking while watching TV. Skype or browse the internet.
* get notifications on-screen i.e. you are...
@PopRocks359:
Competition keeps company in balance. The more fierce, the better unless it gets so aggressive it kills the industry.
Point being, would you have wanted the Sony of old with the PS3?
Get a second job to afford the PS3?
Their old attitude towards developers? '
In contrast, MS sent engineers to developers to help them.
PS4 is what it is today, because of MS and what they broug...
@Kobe357:
I'm not talking about the success of a device, because by that token we could talk about how the Wii doesn't have online and sold gazillion.
It's pointless.
What I'm talking about is how everybody dismisses MS, but reality is they contributed humongusly in bringing things to this generation:
* XBL and making online gaming on console mainstream
* achievements and social aspect of gaming
@dirigiblebill:
In case you haven't noticed, self-publishing is available on Xbox 360 via their Indie channel (or whatever it is called now). That is true self-publishing!
The people crying no self-publishing aren't really self-publishing, as they get marketing from the console maker like Blow.
They are too large to really consider indies anymore.
Why the absence of self-publishing is to prevent the crap that goes on ...
MS did deliver a lot of core blockbuster games.
They also attempted to make core Kinect games, and that didn't do too well.
Now if you look at action and indies, MS is currently the only one that allows anyone and I mean anyone with a $100 to publish on their console (of the big 3).
You might say indies, but the real indies are the ones that can't afford a dev kit from Sony and Nintendo! They are gravitating towards Android and iOS d...
Well, considering Sony didn't do almost anything with the PS3 that was copied by other vendors, I say MS did a great job.
Many of the innovations MS did was later implemented on PS3 if possible, unlike cross game / party chat!
Nintendo is great gamer maker, but the Wii U is a total disaster so far. Then again they did turn around the 3DS while the PS Vita falters.
You mean how the fallen have turned mighty?
@theWB27:
You just don't tell them the information and they unlock it.
When it happened to me, I had to fax them an id. In my case the drivers license.
Getting easy access also means relaxed account security. Take your pick?
That said, sometimes customer service representative are incompetent. If it fail, try again.
Actually, the way MS had it with their digital games policy was the least restrictive conidering MS is the only one that had digital:
* resale
* trade-in
* lending/sharing
* gifting
Nobody else does this.
In order to do this, there had to be a way to check and remove the games when you no longer have access to it.
That is why the 24-hour check was there.
It is called delegating work to others.
Nobody complains Balmer isn't a gamer, how can he be in charge of MS?
In fact, he probably has very limited knowledge of technology.
Point being, business sense and management is one of the most important assets a leader has. You lead, let the others do what they do best!
Right, we are supposed to believe you have an Xbox 360 and use it?
I don't see why not graphics to some degree?
After all, you can render a game and stream the video across the internet with Gakai, but you can't improve the graphics?
I think we will have to wait for the people that heavily invested into this to show me, rather than the competition that has limited investment into it.
After all, maybe that is what the cloud is good for Sony, not for MS. I mean, PS3 with all it's processing power ...
I think they are supposed to be good games.
Who cares if it is exclusive or not?
I agree.
I would also add Ninja Gaiden 2, Mass Effect series and Gears of War series. oh, and Splinter Cell: Conviction.
I'm shitting in my pants with excitement for this game!
Going alone is almost impossible these days, and MS is really pushing this. Not sure if it would be in MS best interest to buy Remedy though unless they want the IPs. The staff can always leave and it is cheaper to start your own studio and MS has shown they can do that with 343 industries
That said, Remedy should have no problems finding funding so this got to be more to do with fit. After all, MS i...
I think it is a pretty cool way of showing you supported the console at launch.
Why would it be stupid?
I wish MS would have printed it on the box as well.
Frankly I don't see how Ninendo will compete with PS4/Xbox One at all.
Feaurewise, it is way behind. Hadware wise, it s behind. Pricewise, right now it is close to a PS4 and a little bit further, the Xbox One.
Ninendo needs to drop that price, get some quality features and release some games.
