I was hoping we would get an upgraded console every 3-4 years that is BC with previous generation.
All games released has to work on the two latest consoles. That gives each console a minimum of 6 year support from release.
Lower upgrade cost and smaller upgrade, but keeps up with technology. The way it is now, 7-8 years is just too long.

RAM once you have enough to a point, the graphics does not increase. At 4GB of RAM, the bottleneck isn't RAM, but processing power.

Memory latency was never an issue with the GPU, as GDDR5 is what graphics card use by standard pretty much. So it doesn't get worse than it.
The key here is that it affects CPU and you might get frequent CPU cycles stall. Cerny cleverly deflects that, by only talking about the GPU and most journalist don't have the tech knowledge (for good reason) to ask the proper question.

Fact of the matter is there is a huge bias on n4g, not from just the visitors, but from the mods themselves. They will censor stories (read fail the article from publishing) for anonymous rumor not allowed or duplicates when it is positive Xbox One news, but will allow similar positive stories to be posted about PS4.
