Keanu Reeves is an actor!!?
Boy everything here is the biggest non issue ever. Congrats on being the first idiot to miss the point of kamoshidas palace, then complaining about it.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake 2010 The Final Fight
Turn based, action rarely work well. Looking at you tales.
Even though the story shits it's so hard for all the wrong reasons. The final sequence of this game was complete trash, along with most added padding and story segments. I don't feel 9 suits it, at all.
They clearly prioritised fan service over a cohesive story. For a JRPG, thats disgusting. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up as bad as KH3 was, in the future.
Have you ever noticed the start of FF13 feels like someone tried to recreate the bombing run, but didn't understand what made it good at all.
Lighting doesn't have a character to base anything off. He's actually based on the final fantasy 7 character, Cloud...mind blowing revelation, i know.
FF13 was one one of the worst JRPG's ever. I'll never understand why some people insist on bringing that trash fire back up in any positive light.
It's called tetsuya nomura
What about Xbox Series X Plus Alpha 2010 The Final Fight?
I was playing Persona 5 Royal last night and realised how much fun i was having with no action going on at all. This games down time is frustratingly boring by comparison.
This game has alot to hate, 9.5 sounds too generous to me. I'd give it an 8 myself.
All the new contents writing sucked so bad.....you want the rest of the games to be more Nomura? A modernisation would be ifinititely better then some nomura sequel, but not sequel.
The worst part is the writing is good in alot of parts of the game, which is not Nomura at all. It honestly feels like 2 different people's vision sometimes.
This game has too many issues, gameplay wise the storywise to be "near perfect"
There's this weird feeling i got when this game came out. A feeling like "It's cool to be a final fantasy 7 fan", and it's gross.
I'm a fan of the old and can say most of your complaints are true. The side quests were laughable, most new characters were uninteresting, and sephiroth is BUTCHERED.
Most new parts or storylines in this game a really badly written, so much that it's cringey at times.... Especially the end sequence...
Oh piss off, such an idea has no place in ff7. The ending with it's "defying destiny" crap is bad enough as it is.
They said "make an effort", not that they did. It's a fair score and statement. It didn't feel souless like ff13 and 15, but it's still not up to jrpg standards like Persona 5 or something.
I hated every second he was on screen. Completely uninteresting how they've delt with him. Just when they finally did cloud right to....
*I minor spoilers for OG*
The first thing Sephiroth says to cloud when he first appears (non-flash back) is "Who're you?". Cloud is nothing to him for a huge portion of the original. Now he's a romance route, he's so gay for him.
That ending such a mess and so stupid, it was clear they had no plan. Someone needs to get Tetsuya Nomura far away from FF7, cus he seems to do nothing but butcher it.
Cus people give final fantasy a free pass for some reason, especially 7. I think 8 is pretty appropriate, and thats coming from someone who didn't care about how linear it was.
Biggest issue is the story changes/additions. Not for being different, but for being poorly written and dull. Any reviewer who ignores that sorta thing comes off as naive to me.
I think combat is only ok. But it's certainly better then anything since 10.
I don't think side quests should be excused, cus they are laughable. But they are brief and in small number for it to be sorta bearable.
The characters are what holds the game up for me. They reflect their og counterparts and it feels like seeing old friends again. Some of the new characters were....eeehhh?
But, i feel a bit disappointed in out silver ...
Is that why they tried to lock off pre-owned games and and push online authentication every hour?
