the only way they do that is if they take a loss.
the rumor (from around last summer) is sony will give the "1st look" in february.
agreed. felt like an action game to me - still fun; but, it didn't seem like RE to me, either.
and not one of those people are stating WHY this is a good strategy by MS.
how are they going to "crush" sony out of the gate when MS just announced they aren't going to have ANY exclusives made to run on just the seriesX. for the first 1-2 years, every seriesX game will also be playable on the oneX. SMH

for the last few weeks, we've heard how powerful the seriesX will be. and now, MS says they aren't going to have any exclusives for the system for the first 1-2 years. why tout the power of the machine when they won't be using that power to create games to run, specifically, on that machine and take advantage of the power.........this is as bizarre a business decision as any i've ever heard.
you got it right, thundercat! anyone interested in getting a ps5 this year had better preorder. i know i'll be preordering as soon as possible.
i get that; but i'm going to buy ps5 and knew that before anything was announced. i love the exclusives sony puts out - the specs aren't as important - although i'm VERY excited that load times are going to be greatly reduced and looking forward to trying the new features on the next iteration of the dualshock.
it wouldn't be any different that outer worlds now being exclusive to xbox.
i think it's really simple - sony wins this gen (and last 25 years) because they consistently produce great 1st party games.
i don't think next gen will be any different -MS is not going to be able to overtake sony in one gen. they've had 3 gens already and still haven't gotten it right. their brand isn't as strong as the PS brand (right now). until the xbox brand earns more trust from a LOT more potential buyers - sony is going to continue to win the console w...
if they want PS fans excited - show something more PS focused. sunset overdrive wasn't on the PS to begin with.
agree with everything you said. and not only that; they didn't have the enemies scale up in difficulty as the player leveled up. you get to a certain level in the game and are unbeatable -where is the fun in that. i was hoping that when reaching higher levels, there would be some great high-level monsters to fight - what a disappointment.
i'm surprised your uncle lets you check his junk.
from a purchasing decision, Prien is right - my mind is made up regardless of specs. sony has 25+ years of success. i'll stay with them until they don't consistently produce great games.
as far as why i care about looking at the specs - for the same reasons i like looking at new SUVs and trucks (even though mine is just 2 years old) - it's fun.
what the he11 is the big deal??? it's just the logo -and it's perfect for brand-recognition. i don't understand having multiple articles for this - it's a non-issue.
it would be difficult for me to pick between BB and GoW4 for "best of gen". and, hey - LoU2 and GoT haven't released yet!
you nailed it.
i don't care about the price. i know sony consistently makes great 1st party games. if the tech is there, i'll pay whatever price they're asking.
this article is putting the cart before the horse - let's wait till sony does their rollout of the thing and then start this debate.
maybe not.
