i've been happy with ps4 - and i'm SO wanting sequels to god of war4; bloodborne; days gone......and i'm STILL holding out hope that something demon souls will happen next gen.
Wasabi, i really don't think you want to open up a conversation where quality of exclusives between PS4 and Xbox1 are compared.
your top 4 was said of the 360 and xbox1 before and after their launches - and none of this happened. when MS acquired Rare, i was thinking of buying the console just to play a new Conker game - except that game never came. i was thinking of buying an X to play the next Fable game..... or Scalebound - and those games never came. lets wait and see about the "serious" competition; more SP games; more RPGs.
it seems to be accepted that load times will (thankfully) be practically nonexistent in the new consoles- and THAT is revolutionary.
mike, have you seen PS4 GoT gameplay? and you REALLY think that is an example of "game development being held back"??
last time i bought ps+ it cost me 29.99 - got 3 years. breaking down, 29.99 for the year - each day costs me 8 CENTS. and that gives me MP and all of the free games they offer every month. even at 50.00 a year, the math works out to 15 cents a day. this charge is not a big deal for either console.

it was a AA game that looked very nice - i would not ever say it was "a taste of next generation at least in graphics".
obscure observer - i'm just curious - what games on your "track record" tells you this? hellblade looked good on ps4 - but nothing about it was jaw-dropping.
it's a year out for the next consoles - all of this is just noise at this point.
something tells me whatculture.com is in bad need of "clicks" for ad revenue,
for me, the 2 that NEED to be remade are demon souls and the original syphon filter. i'd love to see konami remaster/remake metal gear 3 too.
