That's just saying that if Playstation players aren't spending money on PSN, then Sony needs some extra revenue. Honestly, they should just enable cross play with Sony but disable cross progression with Sony. That should satisfy the revenue issue and still allow gamers to play with their friends on non Playstation devices.
Also this is an important quote that sums it up:
"If 20% of the total Rocket League playerbase were on the PS4, for examp...
It's like the saying goes, if you have nothing bad to say...
360 was xbox's best console so it makes sense to compare it to that one.
I've always wanted to try Eternal Champions. I remember owning a gaming magazine that detailed all the special moves in the game and I thought it looked pretty cool.
What issue? That you can't play digital games off line on a non primary console? That same "issue" exists on PS4/5 and the Nintendo Switch.
The only issue is that BC isn't true BC for Xbox. The disc is just a license to install the software. So if Microsoft's stores go down, there will be no way to activate the license if you haven't already.
Same issue if Steam's store were to go down.
Every digital game that should work offline does work offline as long as you've accessed it at least once which if you've downloaded it, you've already done.
The reason it didn't work in the video is because his offline console wasn't set as his home console and then when he set it as his home console, he never went online to update the licenses.
Yes. You can only be logged into one console at a time. Your son's should have their own account. And you can set their console as your primary console. Then they can play all of your games offline. You'll have to login to play your games on any other console though.
Apparently, PS5 allows you to automatically set it as your primary console when you set it up. If you have an existing Xbox console, Xbox will not change which console is primary automatically and you n...
So... You're saying you have a PS5 and ps4 copy of out riders and can play both versions at the same time.... I would think this is obvious.
On the other hand, you have a single copy of the medium and can't play it on two Xbox consoles while offline. Is this surprising?
Am I misunderstanding?
I watched the full video. It's not clear what he actually did after setting his box to home. Did he go online at all to ensure that licenses were updated? Or did he set it as his home Xbox while still offline? If the latter, that's likely his issue.
Any tests run regarding digital titles on a console not set as your primary console are meaningless.
He ran his tests prior to setting it as his home Xbox and then "demonstrated" that digital PS5 games work when it's not set to your home console. Hint: they don't.
So my Xbox games work just fine while offline, but I also have it set as my home Xbox, something the makers of the video didn't do until the end of the video (after showing that nothing worked).
Neither PS4/5 nor the Nintendo switch will allow you to play digital titles offline without setting the console as your home console.
What if you don't already know these games are good? What if you just decided to pick up a console / gaming PC recently and have missed out on gaming for at least a decade? Full reviews are warranted every time, and as long there exists some information to inform previous owners of what's changed. That should be sufficient.
@Tony "If developers made money on gamepass every multiplat would be on the service by now."
Developers make money because Microsoft pays them to put their game on the service. If Microsoft paid for every multiplatform title released to be on the service, then Microsoft would be spending a lot more than they're bringing in.
As a parent, I really don't like Roblox. Most of the games are designed to make children want to spend money, and they make it sooo easy to spend their money too.
Only one time, I gave my son Robux (roblox currency), he bought something and 5 minutes later was like : "I need more robux". Well he won't be getting any more from me but it doesn't stop him for continuously asking for it.
^ The game was released on 2013 hardware.
Exactly. Dark souls isn't about grinding for character progression. It's about grinding to gain the skills needed to win. A grind that can take longer than character progression. But yes, definitely not grinding in the traditional sense.
Definitely a great game. I own it on PS3, Vita, and Switch (maybe PS4 too can't remember) . Still haven't beaten it though lol.
It depends. I think they would be eager to close it if a large portion of subscribers were using it. But as we know, most subscriptions make money because casuals forget to cancel. So I guess it depends on the ratio of casuals to thrifty gamers.
"Proportionally" to the amount of time they are playing on PSN"
