tell me, why do you have to be a developer to comment about a rumor that nobody has the details of? It's common sense that giving the additional power of Neo's rumored specs increasing the resolution and frame-rate of a game is a matter of tweak on an ini file and nothing else. It literally takes only seconds.
But if you read the article the dev states that he's only hypothetically speaking about a situation based on gamingbolt's question to him. He's t...
Right!
The dev here is talking about using higher-quality assets on Neo's version of games, so his response makes sense in relation to that... But what if Neo's focus is only resolution and Sony would have a system in place where the devs only have to tweak it? Maybe Sony just wants to use the PS4 as a trojan horse to push 4k tv's just like they used the PS3 to push Blu-rays.
"In an effort to squash any “hater” accusations I have been a diehard fan of Street Fighter since the original 2 (later played part 1), but I play competitively and most who know me would say I’m at a tournament level though I never bothered with tournaments…"
lol this dude.
I think it's time for the author to really think about why he truly hates this game because what he wrote here makes no sense. I know the game is light in content but w...
All I want is for devs to be allowed to do what they want because they want to and not because of outside pressure. If they want to make games pandering to social justice then do it but in the same vein I want Japanese games to come to the West without being censored; like this: http://techraptor.net/conte...
Indeed. This remaster is more than just higher resolution. They actually improved lighting, textures and even added new effects like the water responding to the rotation of the blades of the helicopters, better skin and hair, etc. Lots of upgrades everywhere.
The X360 was great till Kinect. Then it was all down hill from there.
Lots of people have been asking for that but for some reason no fighting game has implemented it. Maybe there's some important missing detail here that prevents them from doing something that to the naked eye seems so simple?
I mean, someone ragequitting on you it's like a badge of honor. The problem is that you don't get the win or points... And not to mention that most people that ragequit do so in order to not lose the points, so why not punish them by making...
The saddest part about Linux not taking off with the mainstream is that if the OS was more widely used it would have been so far ahead right now that paid OS' would be obsolete.
what I found surprising about the X360 is that even with the high failure rate I had friends that kept buying it over and over again, they refused to give up. I have friends that bought 5 freaking X360 systems before they finally decide to switch to PS3 nearly at the end of the life cycle.
I was gonna buy a PS4 for Uncharted 4 too but ever since the rumors of the Neo I just decided to wait. Although if the Neo just focuses on increasing resolution then I'm buying the regular console because I'm only interested in the frame-rate.
The PS4 launched at $400 and for what it offers hardware wise it was incredible value. A more powerful console would have launched at $500-600 and people would have been whining like crazy. Cheap or powerful. You just can't have it both ways.
You're not taking into account the reduction of the size of transistors. The current standard is 14nm while the PS4's still using 28nm. Smaller means less energy, less heat but more efficient.
@mikeslemonade the PS4's CPU is a a tablet/netbook grade CPU, under-powered even for its time. Each one of its cores are really tiny and slow and the PS4 only has access to 6 of them. On benchmarks a similar Apu to the PS4's has a score of only like 2.5k while a cheap dual-core i3 is over 4k.

it seems the articles was removed because all I see when I click the link is Page not found (404 Error).
that's the detail that many desperately ignore. I prefer PC and currently own a PC and none of the current gen consoles but the reality is that with the exception of certain games like The Witcher 3 the grand majority of AAA games sell the best on console and by quiet a large margin. All these "PC makes more money" arguments hide the fact that the bulk of the profit comes mainly from games like League of Legends and Free to Play. That's why support from companies like EA, Ub...
@Nivekki
lol that twitter you posted. Based on the avatar and the stuff she retweets she's a pretty hardcore sjw. She not just drinks the kool-aid, she makes it. lmao
Didn't the thread get locked because too much wrong think? XD
how can you not compare it to Dark Souls when the game borrows so heavily from it?
Cartridges only make sense if the console offers no HDD but you still need one for digital games. So at the end cartridges offer no advantage, only disadvantages in the form of higher costs.
