Oh dear. Yet another article playing it out like UC4 is the first time in human history a negative opinion gets backslash.

That was a repost from the Associated Press.

Here's the link of the review: https://www.washingtonpost....

Now just tell me, where is the score at?

I like how so many people are acting like this is something new in order to write these pointless articles for clicks.

The article has been on for 8 hours and it already has nearly 300 comments. I think you're late on the popcorn thing.

I read that on reddit. That while the review itself didn't assigned a score that supposedly the author of it contacted Metacritic and gave it to them in private.

Seriously, this is the most shady stuff I've seen yet on Metacritic. The author hasn't even updated his review to include the score either.

well, this is something that will never change anyway. Decades have gone by and gamers still care about scores as much as we care about graphics. Although the Wapo UC4 stuff is bullcrap.

People always say that they don't care about IGN because they are ignorant, that they are scrubs, that their reviews are paid and blah blah blah. But in N4G there are no reviews that generate more controversy and clicks than IGN's.

And what do you expect? People think in different ways, which is why you can never please everyone. It's just not possible.

After the FF13 trilogy and after playing the FF15 demo I don't have much faith in the franchise. The combat of FF15 is just so meh and the bits of story that have been released don't seem to be all that interesting either. The trailers are epic tho but so were FF13's.

only physical.

not just wider appeal, Pokemon is one of the biggest franchises in gaming. Every game sells 10 millions minimum. It's even bigger than Call of Duty.

For the record, they gave the game a score of 4/4. The review that was put on Metacritic was satire and it did even award a score, so Metacritic pulled the 4/10 out of their asses too.

edit:
Well it seems the review is not satire after all but it still did not award a score anyway. So from where does the 4/10 come from? Not even the staff of Wapo knows.

Staff is explaining what up in the comment section here: 3536d ago 12 agree7 disagreeView comment

I was a fan of the first game but that was it. When they started with the guns, cinematic approach and open-world stuff I stopped caring. Although the games had some of the best graphics on PS2 alright.

I'd be more interested in something with a silly story and more platforming focused game like Crash Bandicoot but we all know that ND is working on TLOU2 right now anyway.

QB got panned across the board. Uncharted 4 is currently one of the highest rated games of the generation. And not to mention that QB was tied down to a live action series with some of the worst acting I've seen in recent years, incredibly bad AI and shallow, outdated gameplay. The comparison between these 2 games is just not fair.

they disabled the comments and rantings on the video because people were putting them on blast. XD

That is not how things work, and not to mention that by today's standards x86 is way ahead of PowerPC. More extensions, better programmability, more flexible and much more thoroughly documented since x86 has been the standard on PC for over 30 years. For example, x86 has support for something called "Out of Order Execution" which allows the CPU to do multiple things during a single cycle. This alone makes a x86 CPU to be that much more efficient than PowerPC's "Only in ...

So what? All those consoles were in a unique situation where they had a monopoly on 3rd party support due to their popularity in the market but Nintendo can't play at doing whatever they want anymore.

3537d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

The fact that is made by Nintendo is reason enough to be worried. After the Snes they have not been able to get a console right.
