So by the authors logic, final fantasy and metal gear should have never been exclusive to PlayStation because those franchises started elsewhere. The stuff n4g continues to approve is getting ridiculous.
VGChartz? Really? This outlet isn't even close to being an accurate source.
Pretty sure it was. It launched on PC, Saturn and PS1 and Sony secured exclusivity rights for future installments, making it a console exclusive.
Cover it up? They spent billions extending warranties and replacing faulty consoles. What about Sony not disclosing the PSN breach for nearly a month. Give me a break.
If you can afford both I would recommend getting both. Not for the games that are currently available, but the upcoming ones. Seriously. I can't wait for 2016 to get to play Uncharted 4, Horizon, Dreams, Street Fighter 5, Ratchet & Clank and Gears 4, Scalebound, Crackdown, Sea of Thieves and Quantum Break. The games for next year are going to blow my mind.
I agree that Black Ops 3 is more fun than AW, in my opinion, but wow does AW have the leg up in the looks department. Really impressed with Sledgehammer's work in that area.
I am only about 12 hours through, but it's incredible so far. Really shaping up as one of the year's best games for sure. For those who are waiting for it to come to PC or PS4, you guys are in for a treat.
I shouldn't have to do anything. I never support microtransactions and won't buy them in UC4 just like I won't touch REQ packs in Halo 5.
"Aside from resolution, one of the clear sacrifices made to achieve this level of performance comes from its level of detail system. Battlefront aggressively culls objects and crumbs from view while level geometry is dynamically adjusted based on proximity - a situation that applies to both console versions of the game. It can appear distracting at times, particularly with a higher vantage point, but it's the kind of trade-off necessary in order to hit the target frame-rate. We saw m...
It's amazing how hypocritical people are sometimes. It's perfectly fine for other games to do MTs because there's a "demand" for it...whatever that means, but it's crucified if it's on the other platform. I think MTs, regardless of system, are ridiculous. But instead of giving one console free reign to do them and not the other, I just don't buy them. Voting with your wallet is really the best way to approach MTs in my opinion.
"Anyways ill probably end up getting one for my PS4 for games in which asymmetrical analog sticks are better."
Maybe I misread your comment but how exactly would you use an Xbox Elite on your PS4?
Driveclub also has microtransactions... http://www.gamespot.com/art...
I can see why you have "psycho" in your name.
You are really going out on a limb there...
The release date for this game is just mind-boggling. Coming a week after COD, a week before Battlefront and dropping the same day as Fallout 4? Whoever thought launching this game on the 10th has some explaining to do. Seems like Sunset Overdrive last year. Just lost in a sea of huge title and that's a shame because I am loving Rise of the Tomb Raider at the moment.
Exactly. People keep asking why did Square do this deal. They got that big fat check like you said and get to release on PC and PS4 later on. The reboot sold well in terms of units sold but the studio clearly wasn't happy with the earnings at the end of the day.
It would be awesome if Sony included PSNow subs in with PS+. It would obviously cost more but if I was charged $100 for the year and got PS+ and PSNow I would be all for it. But $50 for the entire year seems very low to how Sony is currently charging for PSNow.
NPD also does not track digital sales. I get that the campaign for Halo 5 was a bit underwhelming, but this insistence on attacking this game at every turn by the media is getting tiresome. If after a month the game is by far the lowest selling Halo to date, sure make an article about it. But giving the game 4 days, despite the fact it was the #1 game for the entire month is just a blatant example of someone trying to take attention away from the game's success.
I am so torn about Last of Us 2. Felt the first game was brilliant and ended perfectly. Maybe it could be a prequel involving Joel and Tess in the years right after the breakout up to the events of the first game? In any case, anything ND makes is sure to be classic. Can't wait for Uncharted 4 next year.
Ori was one of my favorite games of 2015. If you haven't played it, I highly recommend picking it up. It's challenging, beautiful and one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a game in a while.
