Odd since my favorite game on Xbox One this year was Ori and the Blind Forest and that definitely did not come out this holiday.
"What does Sony have to do with the Elite controller?"
Absolutely nothing but fanboys can't stop talking about the console they don't own or plan to own.
2016 will be PS4's coming out party. Although there have some gems so far this gen, especially Bloodborne which is my GOTY, it really seems like Sony is about to unleash the floodgates in 2016. Gonna be a fun ride.
Had to cancel my Amazon order for this to pay off some unexpected bills but I will order again soon enough. Although it's expensive, it is clearly a premium product and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
No one should trust VGChartz for anything. It's all guesses, which is why I am baffled when N4G publishes any figures from that site. Just inaccurate all around.
Can't wait for 2016 when the PS4 will hit another level. Bring on Uncharted 4, Dreams, Horizon, Street Fighter V, The Last Guardian and plenty more.
I know I will buy it, just like Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, Forza 6, Halo 5, Gears Ultimate, Rare Replay, and Tomb Raider. All I can control but I will support Remedy and Quantum Break on day one.
Would love a studio to revisit that Shangheist IP Black Tusk was working on before Microsoft purchased the Gears IP.
Apparently people can't read the premise with which this list is based on.
"2015 was a great year for games, but unfortunately some didn't quite live up to expectations. Here are 4 games that flopped in 2015."
It's about expectations, not sales. But yes, continue to bash Tomb Raider. Carry on.
I don't understand why it wouldn't be cross-play. This isn't a shooter where keyboard and mouse is gonna have such a huge advantage over controller. Plus, Microsoft seems to be open to cross-play on some titles like Killer Instinct and Fable Legends. Would only make sense to for Rocket League to be cross-play.
Uncharted 4 is in March not April. Are you joking?
I think you got so many disagrees because of this statement: "The value of PSN, IMHO, is better than XBL but I really wish Sony would implement dedicated servers and allow my ISP to use more of the bandwidth I have in my home."
You say PSN is a better value but you just contradicted yourself because PSN lacks dedicated servers unlike XBL. I think you actually made an argument that XBL has more value because of dedicated servers. Just my observation.
Stating the obvious. But that doesn't mean the Xbox One can't succeed. PS4 is a runaway success. It deserves all the sales it's received so far and it will get in the future. Xbox One has plenty of great tiles incoming making it a great console to own. That's what matters to me, as a gamer. Both consoles are must owns in my opinion. The sooner we focus more on the amazing games on the horizon and less on sales the better.
Given God of War's visuals for their time, I can't even imagine a GoW game set in Egypt. I think it would blow me away graphically. It would also be fresh for the franchise by moving on from Kratos, which I know some don't want to happen, but there are so many mythologies out there to explore that could give GoW even greater staying power.
The biggest mistake was the release date in my opinion. It never made sense to go toe to toe with Fallout 4, 1 week before COD and 1 week before Battlefront. It just seems Square got their money from Microsoft and decided launching before Black Friday was most important instead of giving the title breathing room. As for Xbox One owners, I urge you to pick up Tomb Raider. It's brilliant.
As for the sales figures, since when did VGChartz become gospel? It's estimates of...
I finished up Tomb Raider and moved on to Fallout 4 but I keep coming back to Warzone. It's seriously the most fun I've had in an online multiplayer game since maybe COD 4. It's so addicting. Just a great addition.
Agreed: Kratos's story is done. Time to focus on a new protagonist if God of war is to continue.
Why are we trusting vgchartz again?
Well deserved. Sony has nailed it this gen and I can't wait for 2016 to experience what will be the PS4's biggest year to date.
Halo 4: Had an amazing campaign but lackluster multiplayer.
Halo 5: Had amazing multiplayer but lackluster campaign.
Hopefully Halo 6 will get both right. Warzone has been a breath of fresh of air. It's so addicting and I haven't even had any urge whatsoever to spend a dime on REQ packs.
