Part of me feels happy that more get to play these games and part of me feels dirty. Just going back to E3 2015 when all we heard was "Xbox One Exclusive" before seeing trailers or gameplay clips and now all of these games are coming to PC. Microsoft obviously had this Windows 10 strategy long before June 2015 but they still rolled out these games in that fashion, not to mention releasing the new Greatest Games Lineup reel featuring Quantum Break 1 week before announcing a PC versio...
Not sure I've ever seen a company that just cannot win in the eyes of the consumers or media. PC gamers want Xbox games on PC: Microsoft is bringing what seems to be all or most big Xbox games to Windows 10 store. Not enough, PC gamers want the game on Steam, though MS wants to grow its Windows 10 ecosystem and not hand over a large chunk to Valve. Some Xbox gamers believe the console will suffer big time from this news as it won't have true exclusives.
It's reall...
Just don't agree with how Microsoft approached the messaging of Quantum Break. It has been touted as an Xbox One exclusive since May 2013. I get that Microsoft is unifying Windows 10 devices and more gamers getting to play QB is a great thing. But to all of sudden announce this as coming to PC 7 weeks before it's set to release just left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, in Phil's responses about breaking down walls, he is talking out of both sides of his mouth. If he truly wants to ...
If the story mode is launching in June, why not just release the game in June? Wasn't that a big criticism of Killer Instinct when it launched? A lack of story mode. Just seems that waiting 4 months to deliver the complete package day 1 is viable and a better option in my opinion.
If they weren't generating the sales they need they wouldn't keep making them. What a baffling statement.
Horizon 2 might be my favorite game on Xbox One along with Ori, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Sunset Overdrive. Would love Horizon 3 to come this year as I much prefer the open world compared to the closed tracks of Motorsport.
This is sexy as hell. Can't wait for this game!
And last gen PS3 fanboys didn't care about sales or that most 360 games ran better and/or higher resolution. But look how that's changed? Both sides have flip flopped this gen but it's funny seeing you only call out one side for the hypocrisy because you have your fanboy blinders on 24/7.
Sony has shown they want to own the IP, which is understandable, since they would be footing the bill. It's why Insomniac went with Microsoft for Sunset Overdrive since they could get their game made while still owning their IP.
Wow DF is really doing all it can to discredit an early access game. Why not wait until the final build is released? Obviously there will be problems for an early access game. But that is too logical in an age where everything published needs to stoke the fanboy war.
But didn't Fallout 4 sell better on Xbox One despite Microsoft selling Fallout 4 bundles?
@FlipSwitch
I take it MLB The Show isn't exclusive either then right?
Do people ever get tired of this same topic day after day after day? Serious question. How many times can the same question be phrased? Who will win the console war? Sony has it in the bag. Why can't we just look forward to the games coming for both consoles in 2016 and beyond? I guess that is just too logical in a world where people fight over which piece of plastic is better.
A little late, no? And that's ok I guess. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I, however, feel the Last of Us is one of the best games I've ever played. I'm interested to see how Naughty Dog approaches a sequel. I think the game doesn't need one but it sold so well I think another entry is surely coming. I would love a prequel with Joel and Tess leading up to the events of the first game. I think that could work very well.
Feel like Egypt would be the perfect setting for AC and God of War. I am legit salivating over a GoW game set in Egypt. Can explore an entirely new mythology. Ahhh make it happen Santa Monica.

I don't have one other than going by what publishers report. I'd rather not speculate how well games sell than trust VGChartz, which is clearly not even in the same ballpark as some of the reported numbers. Bloodborne, which was my game of the year in 2015, is a perfect example. For the entire Halo franchise, Microsoft reported something like over 66 million lifetime sales and VGChartz at the time wasn't even at 60 million. And you want to trust tha...
N64 might be my favorite console ever. Just so many fond memories of playing amazing single player and multiplayer games. PS4's success so far has been nothing short of amazing. I think it won't match PS2 sales just because I don't see this generation lasting beyond 5-6 years.
One of the top comments on IGN about Xbox games passing the 1 million mark implied that Halo 5 was just now reaching that total. It would be nice if Microsoft could actually come out and tell us the figures but until that happens people will push VGChartz as the be all, end all for game sales despite the fact it doesn't even track digital sales.
It's a joke that N4G or any author uses VGChartz. It's not accurate whatsoever yet this site continues to publish results like its the gospel. You question VGChartz for the Bloodborne figures but seem more than willing to accept the data for Halo 5 and Uncharted to make your point that Halo 5 sold poorly when we don't know the facts.
I was upset about the messaging. From May 2013 until just recently, Quantum Break was touted as an Xbox One Exclusive. 1 week before the PC announcement, Microsoft ran its Greatest Games Lineup commercial featuring QB and it still said Xbox One Exclusive. Did Microsoft change their minds in 1 week? No. This was in the pipeline for a while and it was handled so poorly. I also was curious to hear what MS had to say at their embargoed event about Gears 4 and thought surely the company would come...
