Yeah i also prefer DragonQuest as a turn-based game (by a huge margin ) , but i don't think we can compare mainline game sales with it's spin-offs.
/s ?
FF XV in the E3 didn't have character switching and Nomura was already talking about team cooperation : https://www.youtube.com/wat... .
I won't try to imagine how many cutscenes and dialogue were cut ,FF Versus XIII script was made not the game and anyway they surly redid every cutscenes when they switched to the next-generation .
For the ...
Tell me more about the story and its quality , you seem to know more about it than Nojima ( FF Versus XIII original story writer , he said in a letter than Tabata's (the new FF XV director) changes turn out really well ) .
The back-pedaling is nice too , you say Tabata ruins the FF Versus XIII story by adapting it but when it is Nomura who "reimagine" the FF VII story (that everyone knows unlike FF Versus XIII's story) it is alright huh ?
How is Square-Enix the problem ? They are doing thier best to bring more JRPGs (even classics one ) and make better game .
They even made tokyoRPGFactory to "bring back the good old days" like they said .
Some people just can't handle changes .
They should call it FF XV while they are at it lol.
I think (or i hope) this remake is aiming to be playable FFVII AC .
SE and Nomura (and a other big names) were always "fascinated" by FF VII Advent Children ( always talking about it ).
Even the Luminous Engine(FF XV,FF Agni) team said it was possible to make a game looking better than FF VII AC :

The open world could be gorgeous and maybe ...
For 2 weeks as far as i know . FF XV (and Personna V ) was at the top for a very very long time .
Next week FF VII Remake will surly take the lead .
SE did a good job trolling with the PS4 FF VII PC port ,no one could talk about the real remake without bieng labeled as a troll .
FF XV has a worldwide release , it will be the same for FF VII (they already have some english voices as you can see ).
No they did start a year ago max , the actual FF VII team was working on FF XV before .
It isn't a mobile centric FF (confirmed by the director) , ps4/Vita .
It has a real story and a real world ( like a new Final Fantasy in short ) , so they are not doing it half-assedly .
But yeah it is made for newcomers , i hope you will enjoy it (^.^) .
@TheOneWhoIsTornApart
Do you have any sources ? No one confirmed UE4 as far as i know , i don't see FF VII looking better than FF XV if they don't use an in-house engine where they can do everything they want .
@RPGrinder
So it was luck ? We all know they go randomly up and down no ?
Nintendo stocks even droped , who is going to believe you ?

Are you talking about FF XV or FF Type 0 ?
The FF XV E3 gameplay trailler is more representative of the game : https://www.youtube.com/wat... (everything seen here was confirmed to be in the final game ) .
And FF Type-0 gameplay is really fun and expensive (with a lot of RPG elements ) .
PS : You can't button smash in both of them , even more in FF Type-0 .
FF XV is a special case with the AXB and Noctis .
In FF Type 0 you can switch between 14 characters (with a diffrent gameplay ) .
It should be ok for the FF VII remake .
It will surly be the case , FF XV has some special things like team combos and Noctis (too much mobility,powers and moves set vs the other party menbers ) but it shouldn't be the case for FF VII Remake .
I really want the engine , even more since the FF VII AC team made it (partially) .
@_-EDMIX-_
No it wasn't thier frist E3 conference , they said it even at the start of this year conference , the last time was in 2006 .
