Very true. As long as Sega can get the online play to run smoothly with these classic titles we SHOULD be just fine. I'm just eager to get my Streets of Rage 2 on with some pals online. EPIC. =)
I definitely agree. I've been waiting for something like this to happen! =)
Ok... why would this guy bring up NHL 08, a game THAT CAME OUT IN 2007? NHL 08 is old news whereas NHL 09 was and still is excellent. I can agree that Sonic Unleashed was a big let down (becoming quite common with Sonic games unfortunately) but why would you post this article and only list roughly 2 games?
I can't wait for the Sega Genesis Collection. =) I just hope it has online compatibility. How incredibly awesome would Streets of Rage be online with co-op!? =D
The ONLY real gripe I had about this game was the endless limb stomping and how you HAD to target the limbs in order to get a quick effective kill, even though you could still take it out with enough blows to the body. Other than that, this was a top notch game. The opening sequence where the first "alien" jumps down into the quarantine room was incredible.
Even though I think Kotaku's reporting has been somewhat questionable over the past few months, I really enjoyed this article. Some really good stuff in there.
I really applaud Criterion for having such an excellent year. In my opinion, they were the developers of the year. All the free DLC on top of some outstanding online and offline gameplay made it a game that I always end up going back and playing. Congrats on a year, as well as a job well done. Can't wait for new DLC in 2008!
Being a downloadable title along with maybe a small install, it just might cut those loading times down.
Yeah, that would actually make sense. By putting Dead Rising out on the PSN, you make the name more known, thus setting up the second for possibly better sale numbers.
Yeah, really. It's been quite awhile since I've seen Capcom in such good form. They just keep releasing hit after hit whether it be disc based or downloadable via the PSN or XBL.
This was one of those few games that I was really hoping would make the jump to the PS3 and hopefully we'll be seein' it soon! =)
I agree, I think Mirror's Edge was the number one most underrated game this year. I absolutely loved it. Such a fresh, fun game.
Wow man, you are SO right. That's kind of the reason I brought up this article even though it's a few months old. This issue was never really addressed, but hopefully now it will be.
BTW, you can expect a PSN add from me if there's room. =)
@Butterfinger - Yeah, WipeOutHD is a blast with the split-screen. Especially when you blast a rocket at your pal as you both scream and he's blown out of the game. Ah, good times... =)
Does anybody else remember having an absolute blast with games like Road Rash with the split-screen multiplayer? Heck, there can be racing games that are total crap and you can still have a blast with one of your pals.
Even though Motorhead, a relatively unknown PSOne game, was an incredibly simple racer, my family members and cousins would play cops and robbers before there was even such a mode available in games.
Uh, the PlayStation brand isn't dead...
Ha ha, yeah. Believe it or not, I did a full clean out of my PSOne a few months ago. Took it apart, washed every piece of plastic, dried it and carefully pieced it back together. Looks brand new now. =)
Same here man. Things just seemed so much simpler and the games were so genuinely fun! Man, you're gonna have me playing FF7 again! =)
Ha ha, wow. Yeah, it is true, Sony hasn't been very aggressive with the PS3 advertising compared to the PSOne where you saw a new game commercial every 5 min. But hey, I'm not gonna complain with this! =)
The fact that you managed to pull off the exact same clothes is cool enough for me. =)
