The main benefit of the console wars is that the exclusives tend to squeeze every last bit of potential out of the console while multiplatform is limited to the weakest aspects of all consoles involved. If there was no competition, all games would be Ubisoft and EA type games.

I work as a programmer and it's male dominated because women simply aren't interested. Simple as that. If they wanted to, they could get in easily. Some things seem to be more appealing to one sex than then other. Lots of women like being nurses or preschool teachers. I don't see many men being interested in that.
Having a good balance of men and women would benefit the industry so while they do get special treatment with this camp, the intention is to INSPIRE them, which...

It's not even the same world als the first game (just similar) so aside from the occasional reference there is no need.

Yeah, once we heard that LucastArts was being shut down after the Disney acquisition, we knew the chances for this game dwindled really fast.

The problem with comparing PC and a console is that a console has to be paid for all at once while once you have a PC, upgrading it periodically is not so bad. I have had my PC for about 5 years now and have upgraded the GPU once.
Now I would have to choose between playing in 1080p on my existing PC that can also do anything that can be done with windows and maybe upgrade the GPU for €350 every 3 to 4 years or spend 600-700 on a Scorpio and hope Microsoft doesn't screw me over wi...

I was about to say the same thing. I'd happily upgrade my existing launch unit PS4 for $100 but I sure as hell won't be spending $400 for the minor upgrade to the Pro.
And a new PS4 doesn't have more features or better hardware than the old ones (except maybe being more efficient and less good-looking) so yes, I would expect them to give me back most of my original payment if they want me to upgrade. It may be unrealistic but it is fair to the loyal early adopters.

No, HDR is not 4K. HDR is high dynamic range which means the colours will look more alive than most current TVs. However, to notice any difference you will need to buy a new 4K TV that has HDR support. So yeah, sounds nice but won't make any difference for most of us. Nice to be future-proof, though.

These days, you only need to upgrade your graphics card to keep up with performance on PC so once you have one, it's not that difficult to have a 100% backwards compatible platform across multiple generations.
Last gen I had all the consoles and a PC and gamed mostly on console because there was more there that I couldn't get on PC. This time round I bought a PS4 and I barely touch it because everything is on PC too and looks better on it. The only reason I keep my PS4 around...

I never buy DLC out of principle so it really pisses me off that they keep cutting out more and more. Hasn't anyone learned a lesson from The Witcher 3's success?

Nah, joining EA would go against everything they stand for.

@Ermac_Wins, that EU contest only has a couple of winners while flash sales are available for everyone so I don't think that's a fair trade.

Oh Rikku, what have they done to you? There's nothing unrealistic about a girl her height having that body type. Then again, I live in Europe, not the US. "Average body type" my ass.

@azshorty2003, I haven't heard anything specific but no physical disk has ever been linked to the PSN version of a game so I would say no.

It is. It was announced to be cross-sell a very long time ago, just like flower and flow were.

It'll be cross-sell so no need to buy it.

I sure hope not. TLOU was a masterpiece and the philosophical open ending was part of that. I believe leaving it to our imagination is the best way to go here.

For example: The first matrix was perfect. The second wasn't really needed but ok and sparked a whole bunch of interesting theories. The 3rd matrix, however, messed up the story but now that one is "canon". I don't want that for TLOU.

I much much rather see them create something comp...

Saying that because games are not being properly preserved, they are not to be considered art is ridiculously non sequitur.
But if we want to go a little crazy, here's a version of this theory that does make sense:
The game is art while it exists. When ceases to exist, it is no longer art, because it simply no longer *is*. Then again, if someone remembers it, has it in fact fully stopped existing? :)

How about new games that aren't sequels. I thought a new generation was going to be a reset. Instead it's not only sequels but remasters too.

Just you know, inputmapper is the official sequel to ds4windows from the same devs and it's a serious improvement. All you need is the inputmapper install and the official Xbox 360 controller drivers. Give it a try :)
