It's weird, normally I have games in a generation that I really like even though they are not that popular or scoffed at (at least at the time). Such as Crackdown, Just Cause 2, Dreamfall, Final Fantasy XIII. I didn't have any of those this gen but I did have some that were insanely popular but I really really didn't understand. Such as RDR2 and TLOU2.
It's hard for me to pick a top 3 of this gen because while some of them were brilliant for me, there were a...
Remember FOX news and Mass Effect on the Sexbox 360?
Yes, fully agree. I bought it in a sale recently because it didn't speak to me at the time but hey, it's Rockstar so it's got to be good, right? I tried and quit about 5 times and then simply had to accept that I was not having fun and it was wasting my time. Biggest regret of a purchase this gen. And that's including NMS and FFXV.
I made a separate facebook account and it hasn't been banned. I will never use it for anything other than Oculus.
I only issue is that I want to give them some money for the amazing game they have created but the prices are actually really high. I calculated how much I would need to get to the end reward of the battle pass and it's close to 50 euro. For a single weapon and some upgrade materials. That's just insane.
It also gets very slow. I'm lvl 24 and very slowly making my way to 25 to then be able to level my characters to 60. But the resources are very scarce now. If they release a new area, I will happily come back because the china-based region is gorgeous in terms of style and music.
I just looked at the comparison and the new one really did look weird. Details matter.
I once had the son of a farmer come to me for advice regarding a new laptop. I asked him what he needed to be able to run on it. His answer was MS Word and Farming Simulator.
Cool, I'm happy to hear that. I'll still wait it out to see if they deliver on that promise but if true, I won't have to wait for the revision.
@NEXUS-6 The price of the NVMe will go down but the official drive with the Playstation/Xbox enclosure will not. Those will remain high for the rest of the generation. Remember the replaceable hard drives on the 360?
Is that a fact? Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 (original) and PS4 pro were all loud. It seems that every new console is loud until a slim/revised version comes out (PS3 Slim, Xbox 360 S, PS4 Slim). I can't speak for Xbox One as I haven't had any contact with it this gen.
So, I'm heavily suspecting that the launch PS5 will not be quiet.
Wtf! 5 seconds of this made me motion sick!
How does no one see the sarcasm in Silly gameAr's comment? Also, wouldn't it make more sense that people who defend Nintendo's crappy practices will also defend Sony's price hike rather than the other way round? This is a matter of people's view on money rather than fanboyism.
It's funny how now the Americans are complaining while the rest of the world was hit with this bullshit at the start of current gen. Prices went from 60 euro to 70-80 euro. First party Playstation games were usually still 60 euro. I ended up buying most of my digital games from the US PSN store because 60 dollars is so much cheaper. And I'll continue to do that because 80 euro is so much more than 70 dollars (even if you include the tax).
@Shaggy2304 That is not a valid comparison. The concentration of entertainment is much higher in a movie. You don't spend 10 minutes driving to your next objective in a movie. Also, I stopped going to the cinema years ago because it is no longer worth the money in my eyes. Back when it was 5 euro for a ticket, that was fine.
Only if you play it as one. Crysis allowed you to get creative while other FPS games are simply "run from A to B and shoot anything that gets in your way"
Honestly, I'll just use a dummy Facebook account then. It's bullshit but that's Facebook.
I always find it weird, reading comments like yours, that there is an apparent shortage in the US while in Europe you can find them anywhere easily.
Adjusting for inflation is bullshit. PC component prices don't (barely) follow inflation and our wages don't rise a fast as the inflation so saying the original Xbox would be $438 in today's money instead of $299 is just pure bullshit.
I considered a 4K PC monitor and decided on 1440p for the perfect balance of performance and scaling. I have my PS4 connected to a 27" 1440p monitor and a 1080p projector. I have absolutely no reason to buy a 4K tv so 1440p support would be very welcome.
