I forgot that the rest of the world is able to rent video games. Around 2008 in Belgium, the government decided that because there were no licenses for renting games (like there are for renting movies), it should become illegal. Since then, we've had to buy full games and hope we liked them.
I hadn't played a Pokemon game since Gold/Silver and my biggest disappointment is how insanely easy it is. Bad then, I had to grind and most battles were a challenge. I don't mind the grinding being gone but I haven't used a potion in a single battle and I have 5 badges so far. I'm trying to choose my team to be prepared for anything but there's no need as I can just bulldoze through anything and it takes away my desire to play. And it's not that I was a kid back then....
Did you actually read the article? They're complementing GameFreak for making an antagonist that is that annoying.
Hmm, but you do have moviebuffs and audiophiles. It's about whether it's major part of who you are. It's not because you play football for fun that you call yourself a football player yet there are plenty who do and rightfully so. I call myself a gamer because I have a primary interest in it. Nothing wrong with that in my eyes.
Best reviewed by critics (because all Zelda games automatically get a near perfect score) but not by the players. It was my first Zelda game and I enjoyed it but it had some serious faults like the extremely long intro.
While I agree with all the points made in the article, I disagree with the "most overrated game of all time" conclusion. The freedom is the one thing they really got right and it meant I had an adventure that was truly my own. That makes it far more valuable to me than most other games we get these days.
I would argue that Mario Odyssey was far more overrated. I finished it with the question "Is that it?". I googled what else there was and it was just se...
@Neonridr Take Gamecube and PS2. Those 2 are an infinitely better experience on PC emulation than on the original console given the higher resolution, upscaling, etc. One day the same will be so for Switch games. It's not like they're getting a great experience on the emulator at the moment.
And in terms of piracy: I own a switch but when I see Nintendo charging full price for a remake, I too get the urge to give them the middle finger right back by pirating. But I earn enoug...
@Gardenia, that actually makes sense. Gender defines what aspect of reproduction you belong to and robots cannot reproduce so it's a lack of gender much in the same way that black is a lack of light and yet is still considered a color.
Kotor and Uncharted 2. Of course, I would want to play them for the first time within the context that I experienced them in back then. Uncharted 4 may be a better game than 2 but when I played 4 I was sort of worn out on the series while 2 was still fresh and surprising for me. And Kotor... I still get a special feeling when I hear the sound track for that game.
@NecrumOddBoy I wasn't impressed with BotW until I actually played it. I'm not a hardcore Nintendo fan nor am I partial to Zelda games. I played it as a game completely unrelated to Zelda and found it to be absolutely brilliant in how much freedom it gives you. Is it repetitive? Hell yes! Could it be improved? Absolutely! But it made me feel like I was on an adventure of my own choosing and have memories of it in that way, which I haven't felt from a game in years. So I'd defi...
Legal? No. Ethical? Sure, why not? So what I'm about to tell you is illegal ;)
Buy 10, 20 or 50 dollar cards from amazon.com with any credit card. Then use them on the ps store. I have been doing it for years. You have to create a new US account on your PS4 and buy it from there but once it is downloaded, you can play it on your non-us account. The only limitation is that DLC has to be bought in the same region.
And make sure your PS4 and amazon accounts have an address ...
@Smitty2020 I think you meant to say "They have good games on yonder library so thine talk is crap"
@Christopher All those events are aimed at the public while E3 is aimed at the press so of course there is going to be smaller numbers. E3 is still the main event when people reading online are expecting the biggest and most exciting news. The other shows are more supplements for the public to attend.
Avalanche Studios should make a Star Wars game. Give the ridiculousness of Just Cause, I'm sure they could push the abilities of a Jedi to its limits.
I haven't played any since Ruby/Saphire and now that I have a Switch, I'm hoping Sword/Shield be good and I will enjoy them as much as I did the Red/Blue and Silver/Gold.
Ugh, when the orginal came out I was pleasantly suprised that the game didn't take things seriously and used words like midget in a humorous context. I miss the days when words by themselves weren't insults. Only when they are directed at people in a harmful way.
Because the "console wars" is not just about childish fanboys claiming that their console is better, it's also about the competition between the companies, forcing them to innovate and try new things in order to draw people to their platform when they only have the money to buy one console.
This generation has been a disappointment for me in that regard, however we are now starting to see the games from Sony that I bought a PS4 at launch for in the first place...
It's brilliant as a controller for PC because you can use the touchpad to control the mouse.
"According to Epic Games Store, Hyper Light Drifter is a “hardcore tactical stealth game set in Japan around the Edo period“"
Now that's a description I can get behind!
