Every New game on the shelf is paid for long before the customer buys it.
If gamestop buys 100 copies of X game, and only sells 20 of them, and turns around and sells the rest for $30 vs $60, the developer/publisher has already gained there money.
Customers do not pay the devs/pubs, companies like gamestop/walmart/bestbuy/fry 39;s do.
That's why this whole "used games are killing the industry" stuff is complete BS.

These guys tend to be well paid, very fit, very well feed nutrition wise.
They aren't your "average" gamer, or even "elite" gamer, they are pretty much breed to be the best.
Trucks on aircraft carrier.
Oh lawrd.
Thank you, holy crap. people don't seem to understand its just a storage medium, it doesn't do any calculations.
Its why you don't see any performance difference unless you get super high quality textures running everywhere.
And that is just because of memory limitations, speeding it up really doesn't improve squat outside of that.
Great, now I'll be able to track down the little script kiddies.
My definition of good quality is gameplay mechanics that are post ps2 era.
Fancy graphics doesn't mean you can't still have broken gameplay.
And gameplay mechanics haven't been a issue for a long time, but companies still screw that portion up.
zero, I didn't say it conflicted, I didn't say there was anything wrong with it.
But this is a video game news website, Not CNN/BBC/FOX/NHK.
Not some place to spew crap that has nothing to actually do with the industry.
I don't trust you.
zero A bit hypocritical aren't you.
"freedom of speech"
And you believe their is to much hate, doesn't mean they can't do what they want. its the "freedom" to do as they please.
But here's something that might come as a surprise.
"freedom" isn't the standard.
Go take your political agenda somewhere else.
Tech has made a huge jump over the last couple of years.
You don't need uber powerful hardware to run good quality anymore.
Those day's are long past.
They look good, but end game is always unplayable.
Usually sitting at 5-10fps for the first couple of months while they try and fix the bugs of to many people.
The worst part is the team behind Medal of honor is the same ones who will be doing battlefield.
EA LA is Danger close, which was recently renamed to DICE LA who is being given the star wars titles.
Probably Ikaruga.

Had this as well, was fantastic.
If I remember right they re-released it on Xbox live.
Oh hey, artificial difficulty made the list.
Why not put side-scrolling shoot em ups too.
Those have much higher amounts of artificial difficulty.
And ps3 will never have the exclusives PC has.
Your point is pretty moot.
I never played the original 14.
But I did drop around 100 hours on the beta.
The game just feels spot on, the controls are nice, personally the combat speed is perfect, its not overly active or fast and grows more complex as you level. the boss fights were fun to learn, and the dungeons were fantastic in design.
The longer I played the more I wanted to play.
Ended up level 30 GLA, with 15-19 in like 4 crafts and 2 gatherings.
When you have regulated series with full seasonal tracking, let me know.
When you have a tire and aerodynamic model that actually works right let me know.
when cars start to feel like real ones and not oversized go karts let me know.
GT a fun game, but its hardly a sim
iRacing, good luck competing with its physics.
Oh wait, GT doesn't even have basic physics, considering all cars share the exact same model for some reason.
It's also part of the fact that they may not have access to new copies.
Game pubs do not just print unlimted copies of game disks.
