Maybe Nintendo's slogan should be Still Waiting for Doomsday because I have been hearing this for about 30 years and still not a single person has been correct.
But they are still in the business and will be making more consoles in the future. So I would say it is a pretty good victory.
I agree that he should not have been fired, but at the same time this is a very real possibility when you work for a large company and say things like this without permission. Although a lot of what he said could be looked past I think a couple things he said were negative. Like saying Xenoblade has no chance of selling well enough to warrant the localization. Although he is probably correct, he is basically calling out one of the biggest games Nintendo has coming out this year. His comments ...
I can't wait for this game. I have both controllers so I will try each but so far I haven't found a single game that I prefer using the Pro Controller with other than some eshop games and older games that I am just used to a more normal controller to play. The latest video does make the game look pretty cheesy but that is not always a bad thing. Tenchu 2, Simpsons Hit and Run, Destruction Derby series, Skitchin, Road Rash and many other games have been very cheesy over the years and t...
Yes it does.
And it probably will.
They definatley don't need luck or your wishes.
I agree they need to advertise the hell out of it, but if it did fail it would not knock Nintendo out of the industry. You say in the next post why would they continue to pursue something that is consistently failing, but you can't say that if only 2 of their consoles out of 7 fail that there is a consistency in it. 1 handheld out of their whole line has failed. I see nothing consistent in them failing.
Cool, keep being a successful core gamer who doesn't care about brain improvement or physical fitness. I'll be an unsuccessful core gamer who plays all games and gets a better result.
No he is basically saying "Hey a-holes who think that Samus not being in a Metroid game is the end of the world, remember that this mans world literally ended." Are you really that much of a d-bag as to think that everyone is trying to spin his death into anything other than a tragic loss for gaming?
That non-existent launch lineup of almost 30 games was larger than PS4 or Xbones lineups though. A huge launch library doesn't mean anything. PS1 had only a few games at launch but did well anyway.
Why would you say farewell to a console 2 years before it will launch?
Wii U released with about 30 games and it did not help. I agree you need a good lineup of games, but quality is better than quantity. PS1 had a handful of games at launch but they were mostly awesome games.
I did grow up with NES, but as of the SNES generation I left Nintendo behind all the way up to the Wii and Wii U. I go with the consoles I believe are the most fun and for many years it was not Nintendo but the last couple generations it has been them.
I love that people still can't believe Zelda Wii U was not at E# even after Nintendo said many times in the past months that it would not be ther. ALso to answer the articles question of where were Zelda and Metroid, well if you watched the show you would know they were both at E3.
Lol you are really trying, but the only failure is you
I wouldn't buy a console like the one you described. Where's the innovation?
The problem I have with articles like these is that you can easily exchange system x with system y or z. Yeah the Wii U has been out a year longer, but so far Sony and MS have not shown me any reason to buy into their systems. There will be some games going into the systems third years that might finally get me on board like Fallout 4, MGS V and a couple others but in the first 2 years there isn't anything appealing. Even with those few games that do interest me I think I still need to se...
Except Starfox, Splatoon, Mario Maker, FE x SMT, Devils Third etc. Just imagine a Metroid announcement? Wii U would not only not need saving, it would have enough life to resuscitate Virtual Boy.
@Griever - You do realize Nintendo had online services way before any other console maker right? As early as the NES.
Also, you keep saying "Hey Nintendo, we want CD's, we want HD, we want online, we want less waggle, we want (fill in the blank)" And they keep providing it albeit sometimes late, and you still complain that you want this that and the other. Guess what? I want 8K support from Sony and MS, I want less options to watch TV on my TV and more options for gaming...
I haven't put on a headset for PS3/360 or PC in many years. First of all it is because hardly anyone else has a headset or when they do they aren't even talking about the game. Playing TLoU sucks when everyone is more focused on discussing unrelated shit. I've never had a bad experience without a headset so no problem here.
Eat a dick Nintendo? Nintendomination! Howbow dah?
