Critics can't handle the criticism themselves I see.
'Gears of War 3' is good, but really dumb' Really?? Criticizing gears for having bad writing, feels like massive irony in this particular case.
i'm with you, bloom forced you to choose the right weapon for the range you're targetting. Now you can pretty much dominate with the DMR, making AR and everything else that isn't a power weapon useless, meh might as well call this halo 3 now.
I love outrageous video games.
Uncharted 2 did nothing new either, still got a lot of praise and 10's. So I don't really see the double standards.
panzer dragoon is that you?? NERDGASM..
Wow I completely forgot this game exists.
Yes how about we stop making horrible sonic games, retire the poor old hedgehog and focus on the countless other sega franchises that are much better suited for a current generation adaption.. panzer dragoon anyone?
Oh god they could have made the trailer so much better without the voice over. Besides that I'm really interested in this game, kinda surprised about the lack of hype though..
I really hate games that have 6 hours of non stop action. After playing COD for a while you just feel numb after all the constant action, i'd prefer some down time so I could appreciate the exciting moments a lot more.
Honestly anyone who doesn't see the similarities is deluding themselves. Naturally hardcore gamers as we are we try to deny this, it's all in the details we say. I dare you to play the games consecutively in front of non or casual gamers, they might think you reached a new level, but never would they guess they are too entirely different games. This however seems to apply to 99% of all the current gen games..
Anywayz other than that I enjoyed the game.
If anyone saw me rage after having another losing streak in halo they'd have banned online games in a heartbeat.
So what happens when you finish your burger and exit mcdonalds??
they see me trolling....
why is this considered a good thing?
Where exactly are these AAA and AA exclusives you get every month, cause all i've seen are flops.
alan wake was a new IP, they had to build everything from the ground up. Besides new IP's don't score that high and don't sell that much. Besides it did break the 1m barrier apparently.
What is there to reinvent in the first person shooter genre?? How can you reinvent a genre that is about shooting things in first person, sure you can do variations and there are plenty examples of that (think bioshock) but how can you reinvent the basic concept. I think people should just accept that the fps genre is going to stay the way it is, there aren't going to be many original ideas in the future. The only way to stand out in the crowd is to be unique in style and feeling.
...
wonder if they will have the same complaints with uncharted 3.
That's the problem, there is NO standard. There is no clearly defined set of protocols how to score something. The most obvious one is if it's better it will be higher. If they use a different standard, it would make sense to define it first.
