Well you ended that debate rather quickly lol
Samnsung and Sony and Google have been using voice commands for TV's and BD players for a while now. I think Samsung was the first so is everyone just copying them?
It's a cool feature and I'm glad they're not focusing on it so much like the competition is, people shouldn't be surprised it has it. One of my issues with Microsoft was them talking about voice commands like it was new and only they were doing it. My Samsung TV from almost 2 years ago has voice command controls.
VGChartz is a good source for software numbers. Not that it matters, the consoles aren't even out yet.... First year software/hardware numbers mean nothing. If it keeps up the first couple years, especially in the US then it'll be PS4 console domination. The US is the X1's only hope to win a console war. Look at this gen, the 360 is largely outselling the PS3 in the US but the PS3 is still outselling it worldwide.
Once the install base is there, and it will be it is always possible they could start implementing their DRM policies on new games in the future. Just because it's possible doesn't mean it's gonna happen. I think this coming gen of gaming is free from any DRM policies.
I agree 100%, Naughty Dog is at the top right now and in my opinion the only people that can dethrone them is themselves.
The Last of Us had a better story and was able to draw more emotion I thought. I love Bioshock as a franchise but The Last of Us to me was better in every way. Not only game of the year in my opinion but I put it right up there with the first Gears of War as game of this generation for me. Oh and I liked Ellie's dialog a lot more than Elizabeth. The story development between Joel and Ellie couldn't have been any better either, it was perfect.
The PS4 is already finalized and in mass production so if if the X1 is packing more power then Microsoft originally claimed why would they keep it under wraps? It's not like Sony would halt production and start all over. The PS4 is more powerful, why is there so much debate about it when the numbers are already out there? Numbers do not lie. It's not the end of the world, doesn't mean you won't enjoy the X1. I enjoyed my 360 and guess what, the PS3 is more powerful.
It is odd only because it's a third party game by a major publisher. Let's not forget that PS4 has Blacklight, Warframe, Planetside 2, DC universe, War Thunder, Driveclub, Don't Starve, Outlast and Street Ponchos all free on launch day. I myself am very excited about Warframe on consoles.
It will be a week before or a week after the PS4. Either way a week head start will have 0 impact on either console. Whether it's PS4 or X1 for you'll be enjoying it in November.
I'm not saying there is a problem but you can't mass produce an item sold in the US until you get FCC approval. So there may be a problem with the production totals if it's not done soon. Then again there may be no issues at all and this could be the victim of another internet blow-up. Always best to wait for official word and not assume. Though I can assume since Sony received FCC approval a while back they might be on track to have more available systems in the US market.

Everyone I know is getting a PS4, all of us were pretty much 360 gamers but things change. The majority of people I know plan on getting a X1 eventually. I plan on getting one sometime next year if they have any exclusives I must play.
Naughty Dog might be the top studio is the business right now so I'll guess something amazing. The easiest answer I can think of.
It means that the board will finally get there way and make Xbox it's own company but they will probably still keep it under some sort of Microsoft umbrella. So what does it mean for gaming? Absolutely nothing. Xbox isn't going anywhere, it will continue to compete but won't be able to pay for exclusives anymore. It's good to have to consoles competing in the gaming market, for all of us gamers.
MS isn't smart enough to buy quality studios. Have you seen there first party games over the last generation? 80% trash.
Any idea what the PC specs will be? I'm hoping it's something that really demands the best from my computer. The game does look like it's gonna be good.
The only issue I have with your article is the PS4 is using OpenGL has had the same benchmark results as Directx 11. This isn't 2 years ago so you bringing up DirectX as an advantage is a false statement. At the end of the day the PS4 is a more powerful system. It doesn't mean that it is bad and doesn't have great features but it will never be the more powerful system no matter how people try to chop and compare. By the way I work for the DoD and we recently made the switch to Ope...
Who cares what CoD has. Everyone should get Battlefield. Whether you get a PS4 or X1 or the current consoles maybe if we all stop buying CoD for awhile maybe they will be forced to add value to the games they make as opposed to making the same thing every year with a few tweaks here and there.
I feel like this statement is only advertising the PS4. Microsoft needs to stop worrying about Sony and focus on improve their image. I know they fixed it in some eyes but the have a lot of work to do to get a good image back with the consumer.
And honestly right now the X1 isn't worth the extra $100. I'm trying to figure out what they offer that the PS4 doesn't. It's gonna be a close console war but I think Sony made all the right moves as far as the consume...
