Bayonetta 2 would have never existed if it wasn't for Nintendo. They were the only ones who were willing to published AND completely fund development. Devil's Third was left without a publisher after THQ went out of business. If it wasn't for Nintendo, the game would be vaporware.
Hopefully Nintendo plans to continue their efforts.
The 3ds will easily outsell the PSP in lifetime sales. The only questionable mark is whether or not it will outsell the DS.

Yeah, I bought it on the first day and the lack of compatible titles killed a lot of the fun for me.

I disagree. One of the things that makes Zelda so attractive is it's light hearted charm. It doesn't need blood or super mature themes; things like that would only take away from the light hearted charm that it carries. Making it darker would also ruin that.
