Talk about exaggeration. Said it before and i'll say it again, the only time there is a problem with the number of games coming out is when there is too little of the genres you like, there are a bunch of racing games coming out now or soon, as well as a lot of RPG games, shooters aren't overshadowing other genre's there are just more of them, that doesn't mean sh** to me because i'm not stupid enough to go out and buy every single FPS game released, I just buy the ones that interest me: bios...
"i don't believe that developers can't get more out of pc hardware. "
you've got to be joking, even multiplats like farcry 2 and fallout 3 look like completely different games on PC, it's like day and night.
I don't care what I sound like, what I said was true, do I need to go on youtube and get you some WOW player tantrums to show you what antisocial behavior really is?
"Does that mean all MW2 players are douchebags? "
Actually i'd be willing to add that game in with WOW, and L4D...there are certain games that attract strange people...
Tflops mean very little in terms of performance for the average user, can this play crysis? no it cannot. If they want to market it as a cpu/gpu solution then it had better be able to hold it's own in the graphics department too, and it won't.
My brother has becomes so obsessed with that game that he has no friends and when I went to visit him when I hadn't seen him in 2 years....he sat on WOW the whole time I was there, he's 21.
WOW players fulfill all the stereotypes, If you can't handle it don't come here.
really?
So having 1600p resolution support as well as higher res textures, draw distances, higher frame rates etc is not an advantage?
@bumnut
I don't play the game so I wouldn't know, but 'peeps' saying that pc gaming has no advantages is a little naive. Whether or not games officially support mods is also irrelevant, in fallout 3 for example, I tweaked some setting in a config file, now the draw distance is so large that I never get pop in at all, it e...
It is a multiplat, there is no PRIMARY FOCUS, but pc gaming is getting more focus than the others seeing as it has full DX11 support, so I don't know what you mean
what are your specs?
The world is a twisted place, i'm sure in the dark corners of the world there are WOW groupies *shudder* a terrible thought if true
He'd be offended if you told him that, he'd then puff out his chest and proudly say "more like 18".....
Yeah I think i'll be willing to give meeting the worlds top wow player a miss...
anyone that takes gaming that seriously is disturbing in my books, so naturally every single korean starcraft player goes in the book of creeps, playing an 11 year old game as a national pay per view sport......is not something I look up to
the gtx260 is not too far ahead, unless i'm very much mistaken a 9800gtx ( which is an 8800gtx rebranded) is only one step down from a gtx260 and not by more than 20% so you should be able to max it fine
I was just talking to someone on GURU3D and they said batman AA which requires a gtx260 + a 9800gtx ( according to the recommended specs)
gets a 53 frame average with all settings maxed with just a 9800gtx
(aka 8800gtx), and that game had hardware physx, the ph...
yeah I had an 8800gt when it came out, I thought I was hot sh!t because i could play GRID with 16qaa....crysis told me I was not> i actually used to play it on high though, I don't know how I could stand it, I've started going for 60frames> graphics, I run crysis warhead on a mix of 'gamer' and enthusiast now, in dx9 mode in vista, gets me 45-60 frames and looks much the same, everything on gamer except post processing, textures and objects, the last 3 are on enthusiast. 30 frames is to...
are you serious? a 3 year old pc could easily play this at the same quality as a ps3 etc or more, increasing the settings and frame rates is OPTIONAL.
My 2 year old PC also exceeds the recommended specs, it's not as expensive as people make out. I even play all current games bar crysis with 8xaa
I hope it is optimised, because crysis has an 8800gt as recommended and we know how well that played crysis... probably a 28frame average on high (not very high)
Seeing as the min/recommended spec are always 'loose' in their descriptions, this game will be brutal, I think it might even be as punishing as crysis. It looks pretty amazing from the video's, I can't wait, i'll be pissed if it runs like sh** though
Seeing shots like this makes me want battlefront 3 even more, december 8th people lucasarts next game announced, if it isn't Battlefront 3 or kotor 3...i'll have my molotovs ready
another big man on the internet, very pathetic.
I think what it means is that your weapons overheat like they used to, but you can use the thermal things to instantly cool the weapons down, so it's optional really, just means that if you have them you can go in all guns blazing and not worry about long cool down
Pretty psyched for getting these, but like the article said, it'll cost me a new monitor and GPU, and those have to come first....maybe i'll have them in a year :(
