I think people foolishly believe that it is somehow valves responsibility to patch other company's games on steam :S
@7.2
At the very least
I don't know why I got a disagree, is it because this game is, according to you, "teh best", or is it because I didn't say that your platform of choice is the best. I can't get much more neutral than saying they all look terrible...which they do.
I also dare you to play LOTR conquest and then tell me something positive about pandemic, it is simply not possible
(this is not directed at you Cysquatch)
@ below
that doesn't change the ...
I think the real moral of the story is that burritos taste good, no matter what platform you play while eating them :S
One time I ate 6 burritos in one sitting...true story.
that's in aus, games generally cost a lot more here, but even so, special editions have usually only been $10 more. I was planning on getting the full special edition, but i shudder to think how much that would cost :/
THe concept of a star wars MMO is very appealing to me, but i'm against subscription based gaming altogether, so I will miss out. Sadly though I don't think there will ever be another kotor...
My god, I don't care which version is the best, the graphics look like pilotwings off n64 on all platforms, no amount of AA can save this abomination, I especially won't buy it after pandemic released my personal most hated POS game of all time, LOTR conquest, that game right there explains why they went bankrupt. BAAAAAAAAAAAD quality games
Metacritic disagrees with you.
Regardless of innovation, it will always be limited, MMO quests can only ever be simple because of the nature of them. It's a shame to think about how great a game they could have made with kotor 3 instead of this.
Minority Report in the hiz-ouse
Too bad you'll be missing out on all those games that don't support mac..
I have absolutely no problems at all with vista, and I mean none, no crashes, no lock ups, nothing, and it's been that way for a long time. The main gain in win7 over vista is the ram it frees up, win7 supposedly has better multicore support, but all the benchmarks i've seen show that the difference is <1% and it often goes in vistas favor, I have 4 gig of ram which removes the ram bottleneck, and DX11 is also available on vista ( I have it installed now), so there is almost no reason at a...
People seem to think it's cool to hate microsoft, they also seem to be under the delusion that windows is only good for gaming, It fulfills my every need from an OS, if people think using a command prompt like in the early 80's is more convenient....enjoy linux, it's all yours
:O
Proof that there is no god...
Sounds good to me, I'm skipping win 7, 64 bit vista is a finely tuned beast after so many years, hearing about win7 compatibility problems just makes me happier knowing I don't have to go through the teething problems I went though with vista. I'll be going straight to win8
Quick someone call the police!, valve has frequent updates to their own games to eliminate bugs and compatibility problems as soon as they are detected. The nerve!.
Let's start a petition and boycott them
vote for my slogan "DOWN WITH FAST RELIABLE GAME SUPPORT!"
WTF , i just checked GAME and the rapture edition is $20 more than the standard....no thanks.
Do yourselves a favour and buy this game, I honestly prefer this game to dragon age, it's that good. Much more memorable for me anyway
I've been waiting on this game for a long time, that really sucks
That's my other concern with MMO's, the forced interaction, A solo RPG is the best kind of excape there is, no other genre lets you get into the story and escape reality for 50 or so hours like that, it's simply not possible in an MMO, you have to get a headset and talk to your party members etc and have your technique down lest your kicked out of their 'guild', it's definitely not for me. Factor in that after 6 months or a year of playing it, that you still don't own the game...
