Agree with xc7x, relying on metacritic user scores is a failure, and avoiding games rated 70ish is also ridiculous. You sir would have missed out on a lot of good titles.
A score of 70+ is not a failure. The reason for the price drop as you yourself mentioned, is the need to sell 2million copies -- this is to cover/break even on development costs involved. Completely misleading article.
I forgot all about GW2, all the vids and screenies of the game look so gorgeous.

I think its wrong when servers punish you for using the M2 on infantry. It's war, anything goes on the battlefield.
I haven't played Origins either, but the demo doesn't ruin any of the story if you're worried about that.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought the same. I loved the first, but the combat system and movement in this demo... it just didn't feel right -- hard to explain and hurts to admit it.

Boring article Amanda. Red ring of death or not, all consoles have parts that fail eventually (That's why Sony has replaceable parts for their consoles too). What's wrong with DVD's? it's not like games on the PS3 are actually using the space that a Blu-ray provides.

So true. The latest incarnations of COD are almost arcade style FPS. They can be fun, but there isn't much skill involved half the time. After a big night out I come home and sometimes jump on a game of MW2 and manage to get a ton of kills while I'm wasted.
