I find it hilarious how people on this site will manage to downplay anything. This is an amazing program and it is exactly what I and many people have been hoping for. Honestly, at 30$ it is even more exciting than I had expected. Seeing EA doing it first is the only surprise. As long as the catalog continues to grow over time, I cannot wait.

Both look good, but to say you "can't compare them" is absolutely inept. Other than one being open world and one a circuit racer, I don't really see how they are "completely different." Both are aiming for a social racing experience. Just because one of them offers much more content doesn't make them completely different. I would say cod and battlefield are more different than these 2 games and they get compared all the time.

It is CGI, so not exactly the same, however to see this level of polish in an already jam packed package at only 60$ ... I am more than impressed. Cannot wait to relive the campaign story with this level of detail though, CGI or not.
EDIT: @kayant already here to downplay something you have no interest in? How surprising... at least you stopped playing the "unbiased bystander" role. Those level of visuals take A LOT of time and effort and show the dedication the tea...
Wow the amount of effort that has been put into this remaster is amazing. Fully redone cut scenes, higher res and framerate, new textures, almost 100 maps, 4 SP campaigns, h2 original MP, remastered and original halo maps, swap between original and upgraded visuals instantly, ded servers, etc, etc, etc. I hope other remasters follow suit in the future.
Since when did sales become so important? Especially to the point of it being an argument for any specific console? Most people on here seem to only like the console they do based on sales....
And honestly coming from this author, it has very little credibility IMO. Google "ben dutka" and decide for yourself, but he has an (psx)extreme history of bashing both MS and nintendo.

Why are people comparing beta footage when we already know 100% that the xb1 beta is old code at 900p and the full release will be 1080p.
Idk what the point of this comparison is... they have said over and over that the XB1 beta is old code and will be 1080p native at launch. So who knows how they will compare, but this isn't going to be tue thing to answer that.
To be fair they said generate up to 2 billion, not profit. As far as we know they may not break even. (Very unlikely to be the case though) I am one that tends not to count the chickens before thwy hatch though, and surely over sales in which don't effect me.
Xbox one is not a "media center" (at least not at the loss of being a game console) I find it unbelievable people on here are still beating that dead horse. It is a gaming console, just because it has more features does not change that fact. It is 100% true that feature wise xbox one is WAY ahead of PS4, even features they both have GENERALLY perform better on xb1. (Which the inverse would be true if you asked me at launch. The xb1 UI was a disaster, but updates have made it amazing...

Really? I am buying this game as I never got to play it on PS3. That aside, this remaster seems like a pretty lazy port.
The visuals are almost identical other than upres, there is paid dlc releasing AFTER the remaster (i have never heard of a goty or remaster pulling that) and nothing really differentiates it from the original.
Don't get me wrong I believe that this remake SHOULD have happened, and am happy it did, but it is certainly not an impressive p...
