I am more excited for horizon because it looks incredibly fun and has a much larger feature set. However, driveclub is in a different league visually. (Which may be partially due to FH2 being open world)both look amazing visually though, looking forward to playing both.
Article is ok, but they act as if MS is the only one paying 3rd parties ... Sony, nintendo and MS all do it. Games like bayoneyta 2,no man's sky, tomb raider, hellblade, etc.
I do wish MS put all their assets into first party, (which they seem to be doing seeing black tusk, lxp, lift, etc) however that is not how it works. As soon as MS stops that would leave some sour tastes, plus Sony would still be sending assets.
The fact that that gamescom footage was running on an xb1 (as well as the witcher footage from E3) and how great quantum break looks, MS has proven to me that their console ha plenty of power. Those games are all 3 beautiful in their xb1 format.
Lol there is always SOME reason that it it is OK for Sony to do something that you bash another company for. Final fantasy was not synonymous with Sony at all though, it had only been on Nintendo consoles... the other two you could argue either way PC and Dreamcast had just as many GTA players as PS... and tomb raider ran better on Saturn.(unaure about popularity between the two.
i guess you forget that sony bought eclusivity rights to plemty of sequels that had large followings...
final fantasy 7-10, gta 3- san andreas, console exclusivity for tomb raider 2- 4, etc, etc, etc .... it's only such an issue now because it is MS doing it.
What did they win? A bigger pricetag with mostly games that are on all consoles anyway?
Personally I play on consoles for ease of use, interface and common playing field. (ie.xbl and psn) Not to mention the great exclusives and all games support controllers that function well.
I have a PC but I definitely play my XB1, PS4 and soon my wii u (buying w/SSB) soo much more than my PC.
No
Honestly, tomb raider no question, that doesn't change that no man's sky looks amazing.
It's kinda weird that Phil and the team always send their regards, but sony's team never seems to send theirs, except in reply to phil's tweets. (sometimes not even then, specifically boyes)
Personally, I really like shuhei and phil, they display how the industry should work, wish more would share their attitude and demeanor towards gaming and the industry.
Nope, at reveal it literally showed almost nothing. Watch it again and listen again, feel free to post otherwise...

See I don't really think so, when Sony was swimming in money financially, they also took 3rd party exclusives off the table. Like the original tomb raider's sequel and The entire GTA series for YEARS. (which PC, dreamcast and gameboy...
Yea, pretty sure MS offered to cover the FULL development cost (as MS most likely intends to pit this against uncharted) and make the game a definite profit for CD and SE. Otherwise I just don't see why they would accept the offer.
@ant totally had to LOL at that response to master, well played.
Tomb raider in 1996 was on two consoles sega saturn and PS1
Sony bought exclusivity to the sequel
Tomb raider 2 was ONLY on one console, PS1.
How is this different? So Sony is also selfish, RIght? Or no, because it is MS this time? Also, I am a fanboy how? Because I point out that previews don't require subtle insults of other games? How fanboy like...
A field day? You mean constantly being barraged by naysayers when trying to talk about the game? Being berated for being excited for it? The PS fans are being insanely immature, especially considering Sony ALSO BOUGHT console exclusivity for tomb raider 2, to road block sega saturn (as the original tomb raider ran better on saturn) ... Yea totally a field day.
@alvin If MS is selfish for doing that, then so is Sony, Read my comment below. Sony bought Tomb raider 2 console exc...
LOL what was the point of even mentioning Tomb Raider in a far cry preview? You PS fanboys need to just move on to a new topic.
@lisa Which AAA exclusives from sony are running 1080p 60FPS again?
This alone nullifies any argument you could make.
Tomb raider Originally (in '96) was on multiple platforms. Sony then bought console exclusivity for the sequel. What MS has done is EXACTLY the same, and ironically involving the exact same franchise also.
Is the lead character played by Darrel from walking dead?
EDIT: Ahh, nevermind looked up Norman Reedus, answered it for myself.
They basically had unlimited powers (you can see there was a power bar) because it was a DEMO, they wanted to show off the powers and effects. Obviously in the real game the power bar will not instantly recharge (at least not on harder difficulties) ....
This game has an excellent idea it's shooting for, but man the acting is pretty terrible and it looks kinda boring from a gameplay standpoint. Maybe the stark difference from what I was expecting is clouding my judgement, but this wasn't very impressive to me.
That said they have a year to polish and the visuals look great, so who knows.
