Plus a lot of time.
If SONY is selling fewer PS3s than last year while its competitors are dong significantly better it is definitely the sign of a serious problem. The "Death Spiral"title is most probably too far fetched but the main idea here is that PS3 is in serious trouble.
No spin doctor can hide the fact.
Once the truth turned to be so painful PS3 fans started to claim sales do not matter all of sudden...
That's a very surprising thing because the same kids flooded the whole site with their "It's just three days of February SALES!!!".
Oh, wait. It is not surprising at all, in fact...
The ONLY game that looks better than Gears of War 2 is Killzone 2 and that's only because SONY spent so much money and time to focus on this game's visuals. Uncharted comes close but this is because it's so colorful so some ignorant people can believe it's a very graphically advanced game.
The truth is that GeoW 2 infuriates many PS3 fanboys who want to believe PS3 is more technologically advanced. GeoW 2 simply proves otherwise. So do quite a few multiplatfprm games actually. As...
MS supports SONY hardware products because SONY supports MS's software products. Apple doesn't.
I am really surprised it can be strange for anybody.
MS "victory in the US is no big deal, actually. Europe is decisive these days. MS has been doing very well here so far, a lot better than in the previous gen. Both companies are really close here.
It's Europe that's the most important and interesting nowadays.
MS lost much fewer exclusives than SONY and they were much less important commercially. Comparing these two situations is simply ridiculous.
SONY lost so many exclusives this generation and keep losing them. What else can the guy say apart from the usual PR thrashtalk?
The funny thing is that ChinaTown Wars is likely to be a real hit on NDS despite the naysayers claiming NDS is not a good system or this kind of game.
PSP definitely failed. SONY sold many PSPs thanks to piracy but the developers keep ignoring this system because their games simply do not sell. NDS has a much wider variety of games for everyone and they can be played only on this system so PSP was smashed by Nintendo's handheld.
Now, PSP2 needs games specifically designed for this handheld and not just conversions. That's all. Hardware specifications do not really matter.
Good question.
Actually, when there are two consoles with 95% of the multiplatform games customers are going to choose the cheaper console. Especially when the cheaper console often offers exclusive DLS and their multiplatf is usually graphically better. I have no idea if this works but it seems that multiplatform games are more useful for MS.
He couldn't just say developers or SONY, N and MS hate used games business. They are very likely to do something baout it sooner or later (digital distribution) because used games hurt their income.
Definitely the guys at SONY are scared because of DSi expanding Nintendo's market share to new demographics.
I found a lot more mature games on NDS where you actually need to use your brain and not just fingers. You do not find Prof. Layton, Phoenix Wright or Picross-type games on PSP.
And this guy tries to say NDS is for kids... :-)
Sorry, guys, you're not going to make it. Nintendo has doen the homework this gen. Microsoft has done a great job beating SONY this gen but the winner is already here. I am sure Microsoft can be happy about being the second this generation though.
Just check the sales in Europe. Xbox is outselling PS3 even in this traditional SONY-oriented territory.
Also, SONY fanboys love to compare different countries with absolutely no reference to the actual sales of hardware. You ignore UK - just check the sales of consoles and software in UK and Germany or France. The difference is staggering. You love reering to Japan, although it's current;y a really small part of the world's market and the sales of ALL consoles are decreasing ...
Xbox 360 is a flop in Japan. PS3 is a relative flop in Europe, definitely in the biggest marekt - USA, and in most other egions.
Well, actually PS3 is quite a flop in Japan too...
So very true. :-)
Thanks.
Well, what strikes is the sales of RE5 against Killzone 2. If you only looked at the internet it seemed the whole world hated RE's old-fashioned control, system and Killzone 2 is going to be a huge success. The real numbers show how deceptive internet fanboys'opinions are Funny.
I've played both versions. Textures are almost the same. The difference is that Xbox version is a little bit sharper and PS3's more blurry. It's still not a vey significant difference. PLus if you are able to do so - just compare the water on both versions - Xbox wins hands down here.
Still, it's not all that important. The point of the man is in fact quite interesting. I'd would also add the DLC to quite a few games *Fallout3, Tomb Raider etc). Are they worth the hardware unrel...
