Dude, the 360 controller is horrible. Clunky mess with imprecise analog sticks and slow awkward triggers.
Mouse + keyboard is superior for every genre apart from maybe racing and sports games and even then Sony's Dualshock beats the 360s abomination of a controller in these fields.
I think it's a fad and I'm not a fan. 3D already tried twice in it's history to take off and failed.
We are however seeing the biggest push for it yet, with many massive companies starting to make 3D TVs and trying to turn this many times failed fad into a cemented place in peoples homes. It may well become the standard in a few years, but it's something I don't care about.

The 5million difference is a result of 3 months longer worth of sales tracking. The gap is probably around the same, 3million. VGChartz actually has the ps3 comfortably ahead of the 360 for this year.
Next gen will likely emphasize it more then ever. I can see every game being available for download as well as retail. It will gradually become the standard and by the time ps5 comes physical media will be a thing if the past.
All your reasons are trivial issues that will adapt to the change of standard over time.

Nintendo's exclusives are just rehashes, it's no wonder they've got the best known 'mascots' for their console when they keep releasing the same games. Microsoft has way better exclusives than Nintendo; maybe not first party but the exclusives are still superior.

Reasons #5 and #4 will also affect the WiiU sales. Maybe Nintendo's dominance of this gen is finally over. Will the casuals actually care about another mario kart? Probably not. They already own one and they won't buy another for the very reason that they are casual gamers.
