If I had a kid or especially a little girl I wouldn't let her go close to CoD. Not so much because of the game itself although that would be an issue, just the disgusting online community that you'll find on xbox live and the rest. Wouldn't risk my kid playing online gaming with types of people these games attract.

Well I already hated this article before I read this part but that was icing on the hate cake. Pretty much everything he said was unjustified.
Their response is a red herring. It's when people are jumping around and running on the spot when playing kinect, it shakes the 360 console and scratches the disc inside.
I remember a watchdog program a couple of years ago proving that vibrations, even those from a passing truck, can cause the 360 to scratch the disc inside. It's probably fine with the new 360 models but those who bought a kinect for their old 360s maybe be the ones having issue with it.
Article is spot on. I remember arguing that this california ruling would be a good thing, then of course some of the n4g community went on a disagree frenzy saying kids should be allowed to buy any game they want and that Arnold was a hypocrite for supporting the ruling... idiots. In the UK it is illegal to sell games to kids if they don't meet the age restriction. I really don't see why it should be any other way.

There's a graphics mod for Kotor now anyway. Goldeneye has a shit control scheme that should be left on the n64. What's more any attempt to modernise the controls would make it feel like a different game and a generic shooter at that.

agreed. Most of the games I'm playing through on steam these days are from previous gens. A good gen for WRPGs though.
Luckily I'm not into these casual FPS games or I would be very disappointed.
