2 things in my opinion:
1- are Sony and square Peking towards a acquisition? Because this was a major leak confirmed by many credible industry sources. Will Sony not do anything after activision deal went through? They are sitting on 15-20 billion in acquisition funds. And this fund keeps getting bigger so what are they thinking
2- the sales on Xbox may not be enough to barley cover the porting costs so in this case is Microsoft willing to write a 50-1...

Sony can afford to buy any publisher. This myth about them not having money just isn’t true. They can buy sega, capcom and square and still have money left over just in their acquisition funds. Yes they have created a separate fund just bc is acquisitions and money is constantly being added to it

And the road maps change/cancelled after launch. Like you said road maps are basically on console like early access. Game is finished overtime and sometimes developers move on and game is never fixed

It’s single player games and most games sell their best within first 3 months than slowly fade. Unless it’s GAAS. Single player games make most of their money within that 90 day window because that’s when game is selling for full price and maximum profit
New engines or use UE5. But many studios kept using their old engines for far longer. Look at Bethesda and Valve. Both have recently updated their engines after such a long long time
What really sucks is Kojima created a whole new engine “Fox engine” which is great for big games yet Konami I don’t think licensed it out to anyone. And now Kojima has been using the Decima engine

To be fair we stare at UI’s for a lot of different things so it should be clean and simple. Sometimes these companies try too hard to make it more complicated than it needs to be
Xbox should have a very similar UI like PS5. There is nothing wrong in copying what works
Price being $50 is very subjective. Nintendo has been charging full price for ports for years now. For anyone who has never played RDR it’s worth it because it’s an amazing game
But for those who have played before I think it would make sense to wait a little longer and get it cheaper later. There maybe million of fans who have never played it before so would it be surprising if it ends up being one of the best selling games of its launch month
This is why I bought my XSX hopefully it’s a lot of fun to play. They have had MS resources now for a while so this should be the most polished Bethesda game ever released
DF have been very negative when it comes to PlayStation. Very nit-picky
It’s a much better game now after all updates. Definitely worth it

Mark cerny and his expertise vs Ms and it’s off the shelf engineers. BG3 is just the beginning of Ms doesn’t get rid of parity clause many games will simply skip over Xbox. Xbox brand is at a huge cross road.

What’s funny is how we got the promise of 1080p/60FPS with PS3/360 and now 2 generations after that we are finally getting that
it's THQ so chances are these won't have MT. SZome publishers are just very greedy
i will buy it because that's the only way to play on playstation. But since i already own it on XSX i won't be buying it until it's under $20. I do wish they had put a bit more effort into it
simple things like native 4k support and allow 60FPS option. Even if rest of the game was left as is. They can't blame us the gamers for overreacting to GTA-HD when those are bad remasters. We as gamers want devs to put in the effort

There is a market for it. May not be for everyone but there will be a good size market for it
