Your definition of remaster/remake is wrong. A remaster means very little effort went into it let me give you 2 recent examples
Mafia 2/3 were remastered
And original mafia was remade. It's still the original game with original story and characters
And the reason FF7 got such a drastic remake is because it was a ps1 title which are quite hard to remaster and they wanted to turn that one game until multiple games

I am not defending this game but let's be honest here most media sites treat big AAA games from ubi with respect. I don't know if they are scared to piss off ubi but most of ubi games are repetitive and have micro transactions on top of bring single player yet they get 8/10
It's time for all of us to act as grown ups and stop this nonsense. If you like xbox brand buy it and enjoy it and if you like playstation do the same. Because of this fanboy nonsense publishers take advantage of us because we are too busy arguing. I think any gamer would agree the most important thing in a game is locked frame rate. I would happily take 1440P at 60FPS
micro transactions in single player games come on man. AC:O XP boosters sucked because without them you had to do so many boring side quests. But media will praise this game and over look these issues as always. Fans who use to defend MT as cosmetic only y'all are the reason we have them every where now not just cosmetics

Only playstation 5 you can say that about. Xbox/MS won't have games ready till sometimes in 2022. Unless we are talking about smaller AA titles. Ms really recently acquired those studios so most of those games are in early development

They didn't buy the IP they basically more than likely covered huge portion of the development costs. Square enix takes very little chance or they can show that money as profit. Exactly man these greedy publishers don't realize gamers will buy quality games simple as that. If someone does GAAS right like warframe for example gamers wills how support. ms has mostly focused about BC and older games they are so unprepared for next generation. Sony delivered excellent games during current generation yet they are more than ready to launch and have huge AAA blockbusters planned for initial 18-24 months. BC is a nice feature but it can't and shouldn't be the main selling point of a next gen console. Would love if somehow sony starts to add BC for ps3 games(even if all not possible the top 100 games or something...
