Good Microsoft picked up a new set of studios but not the best to acquire. Kind of like when Sony worked with Factor 5 post Nintendo and Microsoft acquired Rare. Ninja Theory have good ideas but their games lack depth, quality, and tight controls. They're a struggling development company. Doesn't really matter, they lost. Microsoft has an incredibly weak first-party due, in part, to their length of time in the industry. Sony and Nintendo have head decades more time working with developers and establishing relationships, Microsoft doesn't. They just have money.
