I don't get today's generation. They want the Xbox One X, but want to play Xbox 360 games on it--or even worse, Super Nintendo. Why command cutting edge technology when you're not even going to use it? That was the launch of the PS4. I get that Sony want solid relationships with developers for later down the road but, indie games are just a kick in the junk. Why are gamers so afraid of moving forward? Why can't they just get over the past? Why pay $60 to play a game on a curre...

What a waste of time, there's too many gamed out to waste 100 hours, you need a girlfriend.

Uh.... Yup. Agreed 100% DLC and Microtransactions are a joke. It's just a way to pick your pocket. People need to learn to be patient and wait for a sequel, instant gratification has always proven to destroy. "Good things come to those who wait". Keep letting Microsoft pick your pocket and they'll continue to have no respect for you. Put your foot down and make them earn your money, they'll respect you and give you a quality product where now, they're robbing you bli...

Well, too bad it's on PS4. Ya snooze ya lose.

DLC, Microtransactions, Multiple Console variations. However Microsoft can pick your pockets. Fortunately, it sounds like Sony will do the usual, and honestly, I hope Sony have enough faith in their first-party developers that they'll carry their console through the next generation instead of a mid gen console, that's horrible. Smaller versions have existed for years passing on the savings to the consumer, that's fine, but mid gen upgrades are horrendous and hopefully Sony sees th...

I guess Krizz is next, start buying Everdrives while you can, eh? Plus all those Chinese ripoffs, they're still going. Must be that Asian pride, right? Oh, Nintendo won't go after them because that's the cheapest way to manufacture, yeah, gotta keep the business happy that keeps your production cheap, even though they still have all the molds and schematics.

Yet Nintendo remains the golden boy. Sony goes after Geohotz for hacking the PS3, Anonymous hack and dismantle the PlayStation Network. Nintendo sues countless creators, instead of offering them a job, society just goes "Heyyyyyy, it's Nintendo, whatre ya gonna do, let's go buy cardboard for $70." You see how lopsided that is? Society expects the world to be consistent with them, but won't be consistent themselves, it's that entitlement business. Nintendo, really cou...

Ya know, if you think about it, Microsoft acquires the studios that they have and those developers create games along with Turn 10, The Coalition, Rare, and 343 Industries and they develop multiplatform including the Xbox One X. Now, Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft all say they lose money on console sales so they develop all their games on all consoles, then absorb Call of Duty like sales being everywhere.
Here's the thing, Phil Spencer is the only one talking, or preaching, about ...

Wishful thinking. While Phil Spencer has done better than Don Mattrick did with the consoles launch, Microsoft still has a lot to learn about the gaming industry. What Microsoft does with Xbox is what Microsoft has always done, it's the Steve Ballmer approach. If you can't have them, imitate them until you can drive them into the ground. Microsoft can't think for themselves, and they really don't have the time put in that Sony and Nintendo have. They don't care about culti...

See what hype does to a game. Give it sometime and you find it doesn't age well. When this was an Xbox One Exclusive it was insane reviews, now, after you pit it up against Sony's offerings, I guess you find Xbox fansreally don't have much good to play or are really scraping for whatever they can get, this game is apparently just average when it released, it was blow your mind awesome. Microsoft, you're in serious trouble.

Yeah, right. With no Internet to activate them. This sounds bubcus.

Until you acquire the studio and all the talent doesn't like the politics and leaves to form their own studio and then all you have is a name and vacant studio. Might not be so great an idea. Business 101, you start a company to be bought out, then you take that money and retire, that's the American Dream.

Happy to see so far Obsidian turned down Microsoft and are betting on themselves. Give us Alpha Protocol with all the bugs worked out and this'll be a win. Sometimes, it better to bet on yourselves.

Where is it written Microsoft acquired Obsidian? I haven't read anything official yet.

That's why we're nerds, not jocks. Gamers aren't going to know because we don't do that, we game not play sports, don't mix the two.

You don't even need to watch them. Developers are bored to tears there, you can tell they're just there because they have to be and you already know whose gonna win them. Red Dead Redemption 2, figures, which I don't get because it's the same Rockstar formula. God of War is actually different from the previous and Spider-Man is different from anything Insomniacs ever done. Both were nominated for Game of the Year. So, if we settle for the same formula rather than trying someth...

Uh huh. Then why are Rare games not on the Switch? Why is Halo not on the Switch either? Why is Forza and Gears of War not on the PlayStation?
Smoke and mirrors ladies and gentlemen. Microsofts tired of riding in dead last and now they'll say ANYTHING to try and appeal to gamers, the question is, are consumers smart enough to identify that and not buy into it. Yup, he's a regular David Copperfield.

Sounds like a speech we've heard before. Oh, that's right because it came from Sony decades ago. Microsoft are feeding off of the successes and hard work Sony put in place, even SEGA. Nintendo wanted to bind developers and publishers but SEGA found ways to really give developers what they wanted, keep them happy, and give them choice. Sony continued that marketing to consumers and giving consumers what they wanted carrying millions of units creating a business that allowed publishers ...
